Noticed a thread about amonia sprayed weed. Many of the ways I've noticed if weed is sprayed are as follows:

A) The bud looks like it's really crystally, but behind this crystals it just looks like some dirty out door.

B) I've had buds that smelled like Orange-Glo furniture polish, that was pretty obvious. Especially the headache it gave my temples when I smoked it lol.

C) Break off a stem, taste it. Does it have a "cold" taste? Does it have a burning taste?

D) Put your hand in the bag, does it feel cold?

E) Does it have a lot of trouble ashing? Does it ash finally after the ash is like half an inch long and sometimes even the cherry falls out?

F) Does the inside of the stem have a thick shade of dark green on the inside, yet the rest of the stem is normal color?

G) When you chew on the stem, you can see the chemicals reacting with your saliva.... turns the stem all green and mushy but more then usual.

All of these are commonly obvious sprayed buds in Montreal.

If you've ever rolled a joint with ecstasy in it, you'd see it doesn't ash at all. Same goes for many other chemicals that dealers spray their shit with.

Interesting, some of these methods may or may not work, but I like the theme of the thread. Good work with putting some methods out there.

I've gotten sprayed weed a few times and its not pleasant, I usually just can tell by smoking it, but not always. Its good to try and gather some other methods for checking, cool.

I dont know about the E thing, but its foolish to think that some dealers and/or growers wont spray their product to 1) add weight or more likely 2) make the high more fucked n trippy.

The problem is of course its not pure and you dont know what your doing to yourself and it usually doesn't taste very good/you cant appreciate the real taste of the herb.

Just another good reason to legalized; secure, responsible sources.

Except the buds room temperature. It just has a cold feeling (hard to explain) but it's true.

Another thing is, E does burn in a joint, done it many times and got mega fucked. I don't need to get 20 other people on this forum who have done it to tell you otherwise, because I know for a fact it works. Just not as well as ingestion.

PS: Generally speaking, if you get buds where you chew the stem and get a cool or burning feeling, it's sprayed. Using the same buds, stick your hand inside an oz and feel around, it feels cold, yet the buds are room temperature. Feel normal buds, you don't feel a "cold" feeling.

Btw, to those of you who called my info controversial, well you obviously don't know how to tell if buds are sprayed then. (Be it with household cleaners or too much plant-gro chems)

Never said all forms of "spray" were the same, only spoke of my own experiences, so honestly go fuck yourself. Maybe, oh I dunno, half way around the world where you live, they spray buds with different chemicals hence a different effect on the weed. God forbid somebody else had different experiences with weed then you. Considering I know what the fuck I'm actually talking about when it comes to sprayed buds, your the one who should stop making "controversy", as you so love to put it.

I think now a days, so many people are in denial and simply refuse to "believe" that their dealer might have hooked them up with a sprayed batch. Not only that but they don't even know how to tell. No offense but, people who always cry and deny that their weed isn't sprayed when many times clearly it is, those are the people who smoke sprayed weed all the time, because they don't even know how to tell and not only that, even if they did they're in denial. Sorry but near most every dealer gets a sprayed batch once and while, they're not just going to throw it out or tell you not to buy it, they're going to sell it anyways. They're not going to admit it's sprayed, your going to look at it and just see really crystally buds, I wonder why when underneith those buds it's like regular m's. People just assume their bud isn't sprayed and aren't even willing to admit it to themselves, nevermind anyone else.

PS: One batch I had didn't ash well, it felt cold, chewing the stem tasted like chemicals and gave a cold sensation for a split second and then a burning sensation immediately after. Stem chewed out to a green pile of chemicals that reacted with my saliva. This is clearly sprayed. I was only giving my own experiences. Weed that doesn't ash very easily (especially when the cherry falls off when you ash it) tends to be sprayed 99% of the time.

It's very easy to tell if it's sprayed, most people just don't know how or refuse to believe their "guy" hooks up stuff like that.

LOL. Never said I get sprayed buds. In the past for sure I have. But I know how to tell when it's sprayed, hence not buying it.

And btw, I'm sure you americans never get sprayed buds. (That's not a generalization if I've ever seen one)

And also, you probably DO get sprayed buds but you don't even know how to tell if it is. No offense but, as far as buds go with people like you denying getting sprayed buds, I think it's pretty obvious that you don't even realize your smoking it. I check every batch I get before I even buy it.

It:

A) Adds weight
B) Makes it shinier + look more crystally
C) Sometimes improves the high from shittier buds (and makes them look like nice buds)

To deny you've never gotten sprayed buds before is a joke, if anything that just proves you have, because you probably wouldn't know sprayed buds if they slapped you in the face.

PS: Sorry for making a thread trying to help people, instead I'll just keep my mouth shut and let you dumb hill billies smoke your sprays.

On a side note:

I'd just like to say these forums really do prove to me now that some people simply have an ego about their "weed knowledge", so when somebody says something contradictory to their beliefs (their beliefs which are unfounded and not even based on fact or even personal experience, but more-so from hear-say), they freak out and whine and bitch cause you don't agree with them. Wow people, you smoke weed, your so cool, everyone smokes okay, you don't know the know-all and end-all of weed, guess what? There are people out there that know much more about buds then I do and probably know even more about the subject then even, dare I say it... you.

The kind of people that say they never get sprayed buds are the kind of people who are always telling you they'd rather go to their dealer then yours because he has xo's, then they pay 220$/oz for shit thats worse then the stuff you'd get for like 140$/oz. These are people who believe in "names". They get different types of M's and regular every day buds and because the dealer gives it a "name", psychologically they think it's AK, Jack, Etc. I think it's sad when I see people like this... who think they're the best roller, or have the best tolerance, or get the best weed. All things that you couldn't possibly ever be best at, infact not even close.

Why is it people get an ego about their weed knowledge. Woopty shit, you can roll a killer spliff, that's nice. So can anybody who is an active smoker.

Anyways, that's my take on the weed scene in general. Too many people who think they're such fucking big shit because they smoke a lot or have some knowledge on pot. Don't even make me laugh, because just like anywhere else on the internet, it's the biggest geeks and lamers who come on these boards trying to boast their knowledge of whatever subject at hand, example: hockey forums, people think they're the smartest in hockey.

I don't see why people are so proud of their knowledge of a drug, woopty shit.
