You know Immodium and the likes... I read some interesting info about this opiate that said it cannot cross the blood brain barrier very well, but if it could, WOW, it would be quite similar to fentanyl.

So the experiment: mix about 5-10 crushed immodiums with a non polar solvant for an hour or more, then let the solvant evaporate. You should be left with a greenish powder when completley dry. From what I read on BL this powder can now be smoked on a foil or bowl and the BBB issues should be resolved.

If its true you should have a fentanyl like opiod. I havent tried it yet, but my curiosity is peaked. Anyone ever heard of/tried this?

lolz, I don't think so man, smoking it isn't doing anything to your blood to brain barrier....air to blood maybe, ...if you could vaporize\areosolize pure lope, it would get into your BLOOD differently, but nothing has been altered in the bllod to BRAIN exchange.

if you shot it into the correct spots in your brain like the rats, it might work, and be pretty damn awesome, but anything less, I would be pretty skeptikal of.

eh... i was just reading somewhere that if immodium was able to cross the BBB it would be a very powewrful opie. In fact it was actually scheduled in the 1960's.

Pulling at straws when feeling like shit. I wish a line of oxy was at the other end of said straw.

Yeah chemically, loperamide is very similar to fentanyl, and it's potency is supposed to be on par with the latter, but unlocking this enigma in a safe way has yet to be done.

From what I gather, you need a p-glycoprotein inhibitor to, I guess open up the bbb temporarily to allow loperamide to cross. Problem is, anything present in your blood will cross as well. The bbb is like a defense mechanism, and you'd be opening the flood gates. Quinidine (stereo-isomer of quinine) sounds like the best p-gp inhibitor to use, but it's an anti-arrythmatic, not good on a healthy soul especially with the kind of dose you'd need. It's tightly regulated for this reason it seems. That, plus with your lowered defenses is why very few have tried it. This has been tested on rats and cns depression and analgesia resulted, no word on euphoria.

Quinine is much easier to obtain (Schwepp's tonic water) but apparently it either doesn't work at all in the same fashion as quinidine or to a much smaller degree. I've also heard large doses of quinine can cause blindness...

There are also mixed reports of people taking large quantities (50-200 mg) and experiencing a codeine-like high. Logic being if you take enough, some of it's bound to cross bbb. I dunno exactly, just get some laxatives...

This is a very intriguing subject though, my interest has been piqued for quite some time. It might be worth it to stock up on the shit now before someone finds a way to unlock the magic and it gets scheduled again...
