Making old joints smoke better

i just found a joint i rolled sometime last year and forgot about. it's been sitting inside a cardboard tube in one of those pen flashlight things, and it really isn't looking/smelling like it'd taste good at all, and it's most likely dry as a mofo. what's the best way to go about smoking it? i could re-roll it.. or just tear it up and pack the contents in a bowl, but i'd like to maybe moisten or freshen it up a bit without gutting it. suggestions?

so i say spark it.. maybe put it in a baggie with an orange peel so it will moisten a bit.. just my $0.02
