the hell, man, how many times am i gonna have to say that for you to realize that? not trying to be a dick er anything, but youve brought that up more than once on your own forum.

and yeah. i came across a product that is above and beyond anything else in its class. so i gotta go out and tell everybody, so they dont continue to waste weed by smoking it, or buy a vapo of lesser quality and waste their money on a product that will not fully satisfy them.

anywhos, here is the completion of the mahfackin one gram challenge. the last 3 are pretty short, i ran my tape to the end, had to find a couple others that i as well ran straight to the end of the tape.

How does one go about owning a piece like this? I have a friend with a Volcano and I think from what I've seen, I'd like one of these more..

BUMP

great vids. got a few questions for you though tokinGLX, how long (continuously) can you safely leave the device on? and have you had some good results blowing the hits into the bottle of alcohol that you had? Seems like a great idea. and also, do you recommend any ssv accessories from their site?

nice job man. pretty funny too

i personally turn it on in the morning, and turn it off at night, in the meantime when not using it i will turn it down slightly. this wear and tear has had no ill effects on the heating element yet, i still have it set at the same temp as i did when i first got it.

i was speaking with the guy who makes these units and asked him what the max life would be. he said that he has had the very first ssv on since it was made, i believe that was over 3 years ago. he also said that theorhetically, the heating element should have absolutely no trouble being on for 5 years straight, on its maximum setting. so the longevity factor should not be one that we, as a consumer, should ever have to worry about.

after a long time, we finally drank the alcohol, and you could definately taste the difference between that bottle and a fresh one. im not a big drinker at all(i only had a shot of it), so i cant say if there was so much thc in the mix to produce a high or not, but the shot wasnt as harsh on the throat as a normal one would be.

ive been meaning to throw another short vid up, if anybody has questions they want demonstrated with the ssv, let me know.

edit...
oh yeah, and as for the accessories, well, they are just that, accessories, some people will find them much more necessary than others.

the aroma top is nice, you can use that as a incensy type apparatus and vape at the same time. most of the other vapes that have a similar addon cap the vaporizing funtion when they are in use.

the ice chamber definately cools the vapor, but i dont find a need to cool the vapor, as it is not the vapor that is harsh with a hit, it is the expansion of the vapor inside of you. i guess the extra volume inside of the ice chamber serves as a minor pre-expansion chamber, so you would "feel" even less of a hit because of that. personally, if i had one of the ice chambers, i would stuff it with nugs, not ice. that way, when vaping, they get uber hash oil resinated. id use those for my stash to smoke(vape) out friends with.

the water filter/bubbler thing i dont see any use for. as discussed, i dont see a need to "cool" the vapor.

there are 2 versions of a hands free addon, if you have the normal style whip(such as mine in the video) there is an aluminum slide that you can place around the wand when taking a hit that holds it up in place. they also make ground glass wands/heater covers for a truly hands free connection. ive...never liked either, as it is really not much of a hassle for me to hold the wand up there for 15 seconds as i take a hit. i also prefer to stir the bowl and rotate it as im hitting it, and the hands free stuff just gets in the way of that. i also have beef with the term "hands free" because even with the wand secured to the unit, you are still holding the whip up to your mouth(unless you just kinda....shove the thing in your mouth and pinch it with your lips, but who wants to see that in a group situation), so its really only "hand" free.

the custom heater covers are just plain bad ass, and they are all blown in house by the crew. talk to them and they will blow out any design that can fit. here are the more popular ones, from the website

potency

in ur opinion(s), how does the potency of smoking the same size nug (SMALL) with this vaporizer compare to a 2 liter grav bong rip? i'm interested in the cumulative potency of vaporizers in general..

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

hey yall!

I purchased my ssv at a local head shop after doin alot of research on it here Silver Surfer Herbal Vaporizer Oil Diffuser/ Ceramic heater they also sell them online.

everywhere seems to have them at 249.95 which is what i paid

As for potency u can get a massive rip if thats what u want and choke your ass off just like hitting a bong but u also dont have to use as much weed threw a vapo, the high is very different, when i smoke its way more of a heavy headed high, and when its vapo'd its a way cleaner clearier high, in my opinion which i prefer.

Also the taste is very different also way cleaner and not poluted with ash and tar taste, u get a way cleaner tasty hit that took me alil while to get used to it.

like what the weed smells like or if u poped a nug in your mouth and tasted it.

I highly recommand this product, u get more of a quality in your bud then u could just smoking it.

i've read good things.

a buddy has one on the way, hopefully know more this week

lookin around at other websites, it looks like Tokin has shopped it pretty extensively. totally cool, given he took the time to make the videos, and its obviously a product he believes in whether or not he has another sort of interest in it.

he was a cool guy to have around Yahooka while he was here... hasn't logged on since midDecember it appears.

It looks cool an everything but I didn't expect it to cost around 249.95 I thought it'd be at least half that amount, may as well get a volcano imo, but whatever.

^ yeah as nun notes, waaay different price range.

the SS seems like a personal-use type deal rather than a party unit,

but then again you can rig the SSV an adapter to an adjustable aquarium pump and buy a replacement smokebag and you've got yourself a volcano for half the price.
