Across baseball Monday, players and coaches mourned the death of the 35-year-old who left behind two young sons and a pregnant wife. They wondered about their own safety -- and that of fans -- a day after tragedy struck at a minor league game in Arkansas.

Very shitty. Weird to think about too, I was at a rockies game a few weeks ago behind 1st base, pretty close, but any hard hit foul ball could really kill ya at any time.

thats f'd up, but im also suprised that it never happens to fans with line drives above the dugout or down the line.

gotta feel bad for his wife and kids, especially the one who isn't born yet and will never get to know his dad
