Pearts awesome, no doubt. Dennis chambers is better though. Its amazing watching the guy play, early in the video it sounds like hes using a double kick, but if you watch closely hes still moving the high-hat, amazing.

I personally think Danny Carey is my favorite, NOT BEST... favorite.

Among the ranks of my favorite drummers:

Neil Peart
Mike Portnoy

Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, Abe Cunnigham. Those were always my favorites.

BUT there's countless soul, funk, reggae and jazz drummers that are all incredible. I mean, I don't know who is playing on this Etta James recording I have but he's amazing. Nuances, dynamics, and unstoppable groove.

I saw Neil Peart live at Darien Lake on July 4th. Me and a friend had to hop the huge back fence to get in but it was worth it.

speed does not mean a goddamn thing
thats the silly "white" way of thinking

im talking about tasty beats here man. who can churn out those nasty funky beats??/ Ziggaboo Modeliste

but you want fast? Listen to this guy: Billy Cobham. look it up on youtube. A song called You Know, You know. Billy Cobham could whip that silly ass joey jordison.

and as far as metal drumming goes, lars ulrich really really really sucks. like i guess in the metal world joey jordison has some talent with that, but lars ulrich just was shit. They all drowned out the real talent which was Cliff Burton. Didn't let him shine at all.

my faves again (And more)

Ziggaboo Modeliste
Elvin Jones
Jai Johnny Johanson
Butch Trucks
Billy Cobham
Bernard Purdie
Buddy Rich
Stanton Moore
Rashied Ali

and wtf is up with Vanilla posting Geezer Butler as a drummer? I forget his name, something with a B or an R, but are you talking about Black Sabbath's drummer?

Peach whatever you say, you know deep down inside Lars is the shit and he is a good drummer your just mad because he is a little bitch and wants more money, i mean how many people in here would try to get more money if people were stealing....our weed? If people were getting our weed from our gardens in our backyards for free, just sitting there evry day picking it and smoking it for free. Would you say something??? I dont blame him but hes a winy bitch, a winy bitch who can play the drums good. But Joey Jordison, can hold a beat fast and ive seen some warm up videos and solos and hes amazing, and yea theres probly some ziggabooty guys out tehre who are good too but i havnt really got into that i haev a free trial of AOL on right now and cant download aything, youtube doesnt even work for me =( ill deffinatly check them out when i get dsl back. I bet theres hundreds of drummers out there with the potential of being called best drummer ever. But from what ive seen Neil Pert is probly number 1.
