I've never seen the show but if someone lets a tattooist put poor work onto them shame on them for not doing their research.

The "allure" of being on TV and a few bucks could get a fair amount of people to make really poor decisions.

The contestants are generally assigned a 6-hour time limit to complete the tattoo of the human canvas' choice. Which makes the process challenging for someone who
(a)is incompetent/inexperienced to begin with (b)unfamiliar with the style of art that the "human canvas" wants their tattoo rendered in (c)poor time-management skills or (d)the "canvas" has their heart set on a huge, detailed & labor-intensive piece.

in many cases, though, the top-ranked tattoo(per round)turns out brilliantly in spite of the time constraint.

Accurate. Especially in the tattoo industry.

Appearing on television gets their names "out there" and an excellent promotional tool--unless someone fucks up majorly in their work on the show, or comes off like a complete asshole & plays dirty in the competition.
There was one dim bulb that got eliminated early on, after she misspelled "Corinthians" on a biblical quote/lettering tat. She sobbed hysterically, saying she'd likely sabotaged her reputation as a tattoo artist/her career due to a humiliating amateur error.

Granted, it IS pretty embarrassing if someone with years upon years of prior experience under their belt, didn't think to use references to ensure the spelling was correct, before the application process.

In this day and age, someone misspelling a tattoo is unacceptable.

We have spell check on our phones now, its not rocket appliance.

ERggg frustrating.

We're studying a transient RLC circuit in physics lab tomorrow, and I'm trying to get a handle of everything that's going on, but everything I read about it involves math concepts that I haven't learned yet (and am not expected to know yet..)..

and it's frustrating because I want to get everything I'm looking at.. but I don't have the freaking time to learn everything, so I'm just holding onto the little bit of rope that they give me..

sons of bitches.

/\ ahhh yes, the wonderful world of humanity. sick shit.

The brazen bull was designed in ancient Greece by someone.

This dude Phalaris created it and commanded that the bull be designed in such a way that its smoke rose in spicy clouds of incense. Perillos said to Phalaris: "His screams will come to you through the pipes as the tenderest, most pathetic, most melodious of bellowings." Disgusted by these words, Phalaris ordered its horn sound system to be tested on Perillos himself. When Perillos entered, he was immediately locked in, and the fire was set, so that Phalaris could hear the sound of his screams. Before Perillos could die, Phalaris opened the door and took him away. Perillos believed he would receive a reward for his invention; instead, after freeing him from the bull, Phalaris threw him from the top of a hill, killing him. Phalaris himself is said to have been killed in the brazen bull when he was overthrown by Telemachus, the ancestor of Theron.

Is Michael Cera the unofficial modern poster boy of Asperger Syndrome?

Always thought he came off(at least mildly)autistic-ish. Not only in movies but interviews as well--in a way that doesn't seem like a comedic schtick. Somehow, I doubt his awkward obliviousness is all an act.

It's terrifying that there were people who thought all those things were a good idea.

I think Sheldon from the big bang theory is the modern face of aspbergers in media. The whole show is just based around making fun of him for being autistic. That's one reason I hate that show. The other is that it's awful.

I've never seen an anti-show circlejerk reach the levels as the anti Big Bang Theory one.

Walking Dead is close but there are a lot of people who have never watched the show
(BBT) that hate it because it is the thing to do.

Which is silly because it is in essence just a typical harmless sitcom among hundreds.

Candice Swanepoel is the baddest Victoria's Secret chick IMO. I wanna come back as her in the next life.

non-basic blonde bombshell FTW!

Only if you're still you. If you have to come back with her personality/intellect as well, then it would be a net loss.
