On your way out to NJ to "bitch slap" Fender, drop the little guy off at my house(MI)and I'll dogsit until you get done. You might have to fight me to get him back. Of course I get to bring help to even out the crazy discrepancy.

this is not some criticism or anything, but whats the logic rescuing a dog from thailand instead of something a bit more local?

i love all dogs and i'm happy you rescued a dog. all of my dogs were rescue dogs and i would never pay for a dog until i know that all strays in the entire world were cared for. i'm just curious is there is some reason there aren't any dogs closer to home to be rescued

Im in complete agreement with that...when I say "I", I mean my wife who thinks emotionally and not logically....but in this particular case these dogs are "new" to north America and nobody else has one. They are an "original" dog species that has been isolated on the island of Taiwan for approx. 14,000 years and are fairly pure blooded.
fast as fuck and deadly on rats invading my chicken coop

I guess I won't find out - they hardly gave us any time to figure out which experiment to do - you get to put forward your top 3 picks so I went with (in order of preference):

- positron emission tomography
- muon lifetime
- muon flux

Now i'm regretting muon flux and would have chosen this band gap experiment instead of it.

Well if I get the tomography one I'll be happy

its maybe better to take the ones you are least interested in because you will always have time/motivation to go back and learn the ones you are most interested in

Soon as I can break him out of jail, we'll come visit...in the meanwhile it's my turn to do neighbourhood traffic enforcement.

Nothing that bad when I went. Some people charging $100 to camp on their property, but that was the worst. We camped on BLM land so, no charge.

I ended up with my last choice, muon flux.

The guy im working with seems highly competent though, and there is a ton of detail we can go into for the experiment so I am still happy. Doubtless this will be the most in depth scientific experiment Ive ever done.
