The winter siege is over. Last week at this time there was 30 mph winds with drifting snow which closed the area schools. My Harley shed had a 3ft drift in front of it. One week later and its almost all gone. Still unbelievable how long it persisted. My cat is safe again.

Also the trip is no longer just gonna be cross Canada to Toronto. We've decided to also hit New York on the way back and head back down thru the States all the way to Cali and then back up thru washington
Cools.

Do you know what route you're taking across?

I hate when I'm watching porn on my phone and one of my parents texts me. I'm like damnit mom I'm trying to watch these interracial lesbians not talk about grandpa's birthday!

I think we might be passing through Indianapolis, it looks like it is part of the fastest route to Denver which I think would be our next stop after New York

I'll let ya know when if we are for sure once I also know

Once you get out of the City, and down to interstate 80, you can shoot across Pennsylvania, and you'll end up in Indy a few states over (Indiana), through the Midwest and you'll hit interstate 5 go north and there's your Denver, bro.

You're looking to get to Southern California eventually, no?

Do not travel the Midwest with weed unless you want to be Bubba’s new girlfriend in lockup.

I would avoid Indianapolis if you're traveling with anything illegal..the people are very nice, and helpful..but the the po will pull you over in a heartbeat, and Indy has three.../City, Sheriff and State and they are all very active, &gun-ho

Well we wanna hit Denver

so the question will depend on how much money we all got left if we hit Vegas and then LA before going north, or through Rino and then San Fran before heading north.

Iíve been here almost 3 years and havenít been fucked with by any police in Indy. I often pass law enforcement at 2 or 3 A.M. and never get a second look. I have Indiana plates now but it was the same with NY plates. There are 3 other NYers I work with that have NY plates and have never been stopped here either. I travel with a joint lit and have no fear of the police here. If you donít look like a strung out meth head I believe you would be okay here.

yea, i never get stopped at two or three in the morning either...but i've driven through and in indy hundreds of times and never fail to count at least a dozen stops going to and leaving..particularl y just after rush hours..it's not your plates that get you.. If you're carrying any weight out of Colorado the InterState is not your friend

(add) thats heading east if you heading west i'd think that would be less dangerous state law enforcement wise

In a pot, boil kale and potatoes in chicken stock until potatoes are tender(sliced works best), season this as you see fit with salt and pepper and other herbs that suit an italian dish.

add cooked spicy Italian sausage to the pot(or mild, whatever, im not the boss of you), i cut the links open so i can cook the sausage like ground beef, its super easy to just get the casing off

Mingle them for a moment or some to let the flavors get to know each other, then add half a pint of heavy whipping cream.

Enjoy the heck out of your soup.

add cooked crushed bacon if you're trying to impress people otherwise it doesn't add a whole lot to the dish, although i do cook my sausage in bacon fat.

(advanced users: take a few cups of soup and blend them with an immersion blender and pour them back in for a heartier soup. or don't, im not the boss of you.)

ultra advanced move (grandma style) just crush it a bit instead of blending a portion.

1 no dirty blender
2 chunkier texture

i use a stick blender so there isnt a clean up, and its plenty chunky as it is, its just a bit thin if you dont blend some up and throw it back in, its a typical soup tactic used for soups with potato

i am aware of the tactic and offer my technique as my own improvement of the tactic.

i'm big on food texture and with a potato soup or whatever i dont mind some chunks

if you're using an immersion blender, why remove part of the soup, blend it then put it back in?

kind of defeats the purpose of an immersion blender. (just use it in the pot, blend as much as you feel is necessary)
