wines always give me a bastard of a hangover in comparison to drinking much larger amounts of alcohol in beer, and/or liquor.

really don't ever overdo it anymore, but i still feel shitty mornings after holidays & wine.

Wines are a higher proof, but yea, regardless of how much alcohol you drink, I agree with you.

I don't generally drink wines to get drunk for that reason. Mostly just to enjoy it.

i think that might actually have to do with the sulfites.

you know how the bottle says, 'contains sulfites?'

they dont have that shit in europe, kind of like the whole pasteurized dairy deal.

them shits give you them bad feelings.

regardless, ill drink wine of any color, i dont discriminate.

^Thats also because cheep wines contain sulfides (i think) which cause a worse hangover than the normal dehydration hangover.
EDIT: Damn you SSD for beating me to it.

And red wines go great with a meal, not too fond of whites though.
