i have never feasted at a kfc. not growing up, and certainly not in my adult life.

my father worked at one in college as i recall, and i even had a roommate who worked at a kfc in town. even when she'd bring home food some nights, no one touched it.

the biscuits are good, i guess?

Mother was a Safeway employee from shortly after I was born and retired just after my 31st birthday, the last part of those was with Vons after Safeway sold them their SoCal outlets and distribution center, they were a bunch of fuckers for the most part. Every thing they could do to get her to either quit or take the promotion to management so they could fire her they threw at her and she took it for the gold watch and pension Safeway offered her at the beginning to get her to work there in the first place. Safeway was a family store in a middle class neighborhood where the GM's and DM's actually knew the employees at each store by name, knew their families too. Vons is nothing but a corporate clean food box like most stores today. I still shop farmers stores and bodegas here in town because they know you next week.

So yeah, Vons and I have issues..

one of my first jobs was kfc. i went home smelling like fuckin fried chicken every time i worked. it was gross. but worth it, cuz i was only 15 or 16 and i walked to work from my house. my manager was a raging alcoholic, and would buy me booze and let me get drunk while i worked the drive thru. shit was so much fun. the owner's nephew had keys, and we would go open up the store at like 11 or 12 and get hammered and cook up a bunch of food, get high in there...it was always a party at kfc.

i worked at a kfc, its not pretty...roaches, ants, grease as far as the eye can see...not good stuff, it was also attatchedto an a&w but thats a whole nother story...

popeyes is way fucking better imo...paying for kfc seems so, awful...for free its awsome...but for money no...

like once every 3 years i feast on kfc, i eat like half a bucket of greasy chick breasts and then i feel disgusting afterwards and tell myself i wont ever eat it again until 3 years later i forget about it and buy it again

Yeah I don't eat at KFC very often anymore. Probably 5-6 times in a year. When I was growing up it was usually Lee's Famous Recipe. But yeah everyone knows the local grocery (Kroger's) is where the good stuff's at.
