advice for me and what to do with asshole 'friend'

so i bought tickets for qotsa around 2 months ago
a buddy at school said he wanted to come with, with some of his friends
i said ok, and he was a bit broke so i let the funds slide for quite a while
i haven't seen him in a bit, a week or so after school ended he told me he was going on vacation with his folks for a week and would be back the day of the concert, at about 5am, and told me to hang on to them as i had not heard from him in a while

long story short, concert was last night and he hadnt got a hold of me by 7 so i drove down with my other friend to the venue and ditched the last 3 tix, got $60 less than cost and went in and had a good night
basically, i wanna demand that this 'friend' pay me the 50$ or so that he owes me because he fucked me over and told me to hang on to the tickets and not sell them to other friends
what do you guys think, am i an asshole, being fair, or drunk ?

if he starts to ask questions, kill him and take his wallet...which will probbly have $120 cash and a barnes and nobles gift card containing $50

that's what im thinking, but the dudes a major prick and will ignore me as long as he possibly can to avoid paying me
we had a falling out a bit before school ended , but i held onto the tickets because i said i would, basically my argument will be i held onto my word and he should too

they see something, a concert or what ever that they want to see, offer to front me the money when they mistake indifference for financial difficulties, then get all pissy when they discover the disinterest instead of poverty as the reason

Basically we have the rule here that if you want it bad enough you will find a way to get the money for yourself.

spent the money dude, its gone.

question you need to ask is about the value of the friendship

do you get back equally what you put into the relationship?

the ONLY reason i let this slide is becuase its a band we both really dig, and i would be the bigger man and let him pay me back later on as he got cash because he didnt have money
the way i see it, if he pays me back the 50$ we are done as friends go

Sorry bout that vanilla. I think you should demand your money back, but there is no point in fighting him or anything
you have a right to call him out in front of his friends anytime you see him though, and make sure to keep your head and be reasonable and calm so he looks like the dick he is instead of you.

Just act as if its the obvious thing tohappen, because it is. That he pays you back anyways. You may just loose the money, no point in fighting, or threatening or acting like a 'big man'.

i'm going to see QOTSA on thursday night and I got my tickets or free in a case of molson canadian. Well it wasn't free cause i had to pay 21.45 for a case of shitty beer. but it was WORTH it.

Me and a friend are going and gonna hippy-flip the fuck out of the concert. the retail value of the tickets was $100 for each 2-ticket pass or $50... so i'm not sure how your money situation works out... doen't make much sense to me....

And then on may 24th i'm going to see Bob Dylan on his birthday! sweeeettttt......

The cost was 55.75$ or something like that
we had 3 extra that he was supposed to use with him and his 2 friends, but since he never called and i dont know his friends i had to sell them to a scalper for which i got 100$ for 3
since i can't blame his friends, and im only missing ~50, i think he should pay

yeah, i'd say he should have to pay the $50.00 for the ticket.

Just bring it up to him, and keep bringing it up to him. eventually they almost always pay... it's very rare that someone has to take out a knee. Unless he's on smack or something...
