Russian Tea Mix recipe

Russian Tea Mix
one 14 ounce jar of orange Tang
two 3 ounce package of pre sweetened lemonade
1 cup of instant tea
1 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 /2 teaspoon of ground cheese
2 cups of sugar

ground cheese? really?
i didnt really think Tang would be in a legit Russian recipe but i was willing to go along with it till the cheese

i have made russian tea with tang before (not really tea at all) but never cheese

i like how it mysteriously doesn't even refer to what type of cheese would be appropriate

russian prison tea aka "chifir' ":

1)put water into some sort of container that can be made nearly air tight w/ the aid of a lid (teapot wont work because of the spout) and put it on the stove, ideally the water will right up to the edges

2)turn on the stove

3)before the water comest to a boil put about a matchbox full of dried tea leaves (real tea, not some fruity green tea or corn tea or some shit like that)

4)do not stir; the cover cover is to be left off the entire time until the next step

5)let the water come to a boil, then turn the heat way down so that the water just barely simmers. put the cover on and wait about 15 minutes.

6) ???

7) profit !

note:

- do not put any sugar whatsoever into the chifir' unless you want to fuck up your liver, something about sugar interacting with the chemicals released by boiling the tea.

- do not eat anything 6 hours in advance

- if done right this tea will get you high (guess why russian prisoners would drink this, especially in the soviet era, when drugs and alcohol were hard to come by)

- ive never tried it myself but ive read a personal account on this old russian guy's site who experienced soviet russian prison himself

i doubt its just placebo, chifir' is huge in russian prisons, pretty much everyone drinks it, not only that, but tea is considered a valid form of currency among the prisoners, even those few that dont indulge in chifir'

^not just caffeine but also some sort of weird chemicals that come out of the tea when its actively boiled, and not just left in water that had been boiled. because of this proper chifir tastes like shit

i first found out about when i was making some tea (i like my tea very strong), and my mom comes by and is all wtf are you making chifir'? and then she tells me that in prison theres no drugs or booze and this is how the prisoners get high. this is the first i heard of it, so i looked it up on the wikipedia:

the first reference link is where i got the info in my first post in this thread (also contains a lot of interesting russian prison stories) unfortunately its written in russian, so you better have a damn good translator program, or you know russian cus then you can just read it ya know.
