It's because of a push started back in the 70's where Falwell's Church and Southern Baptists started agressively pushing their members to actively seek election to local and State government positions. (This is documented....it is history...it is a fact.....)

When you fill enough local positions with Church going members, it's like any organization....your gonna have some wingnuts. Back to topic: after enough years, the people in local positions; a few are naturally going to elevate to State..then later Federal positions. They started this 40 years ago...and look at the seeds they have sown. This bitch embarassed herself, Minnesota, and the Republican Party. She has never had any real power....and now never will. There is not a foot extractor big enough to pull her foot out of her mouth.

Perhaps the reason she won is her challenger was weak? I dunno. I mean look at John Kerry....if the Democrats could have found anyone stronger than that milksop to run against Dubya, they would have taken power 4 years ago! But everything happens for a reason is my mantra. If we had a Kerry win 4 years ago, we wouldn't have O'Bama now!

Remember the parable about the cow that pooped on the little bird....he didn't like the smell, but it was winter and kept him warm. When he warmed up, he left the poop because he couldn't imagine anything worse, and a hawk ate him......Not everyone that shits on ya hurts you, and just when you think it can't get any worse..........you get the picture.......

Anyway, this dipshit has the right to say what she wants and it's my job as a participating member of society to make her life as miserable as I can....so....as I often do, I emailed every Republican Congressperson and Senator in the State of Florida and the White House and told them how disappointed I was that such a hate monger holds a position in our legislature.

I usually get a thank you from 90% "for my opinion".......this time, it was only about half, and NOTHING from my bud, dubya..........that ain't gonna stop me from expressing my feelings....

When Ann Coulter called Edwards a "faggot" I emailed EVERY advertiser on her website and 48 hours later, the only advertisers on her site were 1) one for fake viagra on the web (I couldn't get a contact #) and 2) the other was a Republican Book of the month club......(the book of the month was Bill O'reilly's......the one they marked down to $5 at Barnes and Noble....lol)

However, Prudential Sterling, Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab, Washington Mutual and 3 or 4 others sent me one on one emails (no robo responses) and pulled their adds

Nah, it's just that over the years I've become pessimistic in regard to politics.

Her calling liberals "un-American" is every bit as stupid and meaningless as Joe Biden saying that it’s “patriotic” to pay higher taxes or Obama saying that “selfishness” motivates those who oppose the higher taxes.

It's all rhetoric, it's all propaganda, it's all bullshit, and it's supported or denounced by people depending on whether their guy is the one saying it or not.
