Does Yahooka have a left leaning slant?

I thought I would start a poll to see if Yahooka is made up of a majority who identify themselves as left on the political scale. I identify myself directly in the middle, being a libertarian.

This poll has nothing to do with Obama's recent win, or any recent Presidential candidates, and keep these names and faces out of your mind, because this is where you stand personally. Thanks!

I think democracy and responsible representation are good. I also think a positive state, one that intervenes in the lives of its people to support better development , opportunity and potential.
But that makes it extra important to have accountability and transparency (moreso I would think than a night watchmen style or even authoritarian state) so that by allowing the state to develop its citizens in a certain direction, that direction is a good one. (development , opportunity and potential.)

And the democracy should effectively engage citizen participation, more so by education and a culture of responsible involvement than by law.

I support strong individual rights, but also collective rights. Only a proper balance can be best. And they should be understood in a global sense, that everyone has their balance, but some rights cannot be ignored.

Not sure what that makes me.

I identify myself as a realist. So neither left or right because those are 2 fantasy world concepts as are all the jingoism terms in your poll.

other: i'm some flavor of green...deep ecology is more central to my political views than questions about redistribution of wealth, socialized human services, nationalism, imperialism, etc.

i come from a liberal family and sometimes vote that way to keep truly dangerous people from taking the helm. however, i'm certain it's going to take a third party outlook to get past the enormous environmental and humanitarian issues facing us in the coming century(ies). radical times call for radical outlooks.

I consider myself an Independent. I'm Socially Liberal and Financially Conservative. I personally believe being too far to one side is dangerous.

Ah good point. Environmental consideration, proper management and justice (in terms of who reaps the pollution vs. the profits) is key to the emerging world notion of a just order (imo)

I believe government's role is to protect the rights of the citizens who empower it. These are the right to own your own life, to live it as you will, and to be responsible for the consequences of how you live it.

In the 21st century those label really have no meaning.

Yahooka tends to be anti government control, and pro human rights.

call em fucking cantelopes.

I didn't really like some of the questions... still trying to put me in a box, but what the hell. (I think the questionaire itself had a leftist lean)
