New crew at work looks like it's has the most experience, so hopefully that equals fluidity. It's a dark and gray morning here, perfect time of year to be starting to work under day light extending lamps.

Oh...working at Canfor's Silviculture Nursery. Lifting, sorting, packing, them them up so they can be put into dormancy, in their boxes, for the winter till around April, when they will start to bring them out with slow warmth. Then off to the cold cruel north to be drug around in bag by planters, being stuck in the 'most interesting' of soil, to grow and become a crop in some years later.

It's the side of the business I can stand to be on, and there isn't alot to do in this town in the winter. So I hope the ones I plant never have to get cut at least not for a long long time, and people start become more responsible with wood and alternatives.

The irony is the nursery is RIGHT beside the mill where its either turned into board feet or pulp! Talk about having the farm beside the slaughter house! Well even though these are factory farmed trees, I hope a little love wears off when I'm tending them.

It's simple work and easily enough to shift in to meditation/mindful breathing, which is ALWAYS good work for me .

That's what's up Mikey

I stepped outside and realized it was warmed outside, in the sun, than inside.

Ah finally some sun!

Today My Wife will be home before I leave today, which means I'll get a full hour of awake together time today!

And I got my first good night's sleep since I've been back too.

Hope the downside of the week is smoother and peaceful.

my friend who I haven't seen in 3 years is playing a show in Salem tonight, then 2 nights of Railroad Earth in Boston this weekend. Maybe I see too many concerts. Just sad I won't be able to trip every night.

haha, so today my wife shuts the bedroom door while she cleans the litter box. I do wake up when she shuts the door, which is fine, it was time to wake up, a little bit.

Well I doze off a few minutes and then wake up when I hear out buzzer. It was my wife. So I let her in and get back in bed. She comes in and says 'I dropped my keys in the dumpster, it's empty and I can reach the bottom.' So we establish, that it's empty, since I knew I was getting in either way. I put on my work pants and a shirt, walk out into the chilly -2 morning and dive into an clean, as can be, empty dumpster and grab her keys from a pile of cat litter, nice

Well she had just lost grip of her keys or whatever, easily solved, praises be, that there wasn't any trash in there!

What a way to start the day

Particularly the kick ass part is how smooth it went down. I think it's easy to pay attention to the constant negotiation that are relationships, but today I'd like to pay credence to an effortless interaction.

Either my morningness or her feeling bad for asking could have tipped it.

So whichever was on their game this morning hats off.

Blessings,
Sage

i know exactly what you mean, i get nice satisfaction doing manual type labor. i got a gig with my mothers friend who bought a house that needed a complete overhaul of the property,

for past 5 weeks or so i have been cleaning out brush, moving tons of dirt, putting in brick, planting tons of plants, bundling sticks, laying down a walkway, making stone walls etc...

the pay is good (between 10-13 an hour) and i dont have to work at a real job with asshole coworkers/boss and i enjoy it very much working with my hands., by myself just listening to music and focusing on each task at hand. i am also fixing bikes and painting a trailer for my neighbor as well as selling garage sale stuff on ebay to make a little added scratch, and then most of what i make goes into the stock market to turn a little more profit. it feels great that i dont have a "real" job but i am still able to make pretty good money.

today the woman i work for told me i was doing an amazing job and shes really happy and she said nice things about me to her neighbors who also need yard work stuff done so today was a good day if for the rest of my life i could just make a living just doing yardwork i would be a happy man.
