haha. no sir. I give twice a weak. I give plasma though, slightly less selfless motives, but I also have the most common blood type, so red cross isn't exactly beating down my door.

Go to the redcross web site and call someone. It does take a while to give plasma, I know there is a special room where they let you watch movies while you give, so I'd assume that means a while.

But Slap could totally tell you for sure. These are just the things I've seen and heard around the blood bank, but I'm also in Canada, so it could be just a smidgen different.

I get about $20-25 on average. there are promotions, our staff is super friendly, great service, almost feel like I should be paying them.
it takes about half an hour, I figure? I don't know really, I'm never in a hurry/listening to music, so time isn't a concern.
I do it to get out of my house. lotsa hate going on these days.

anyway, today kicks ass. I was on grouphug, and this person posted their email address saying they sucked at meeting people. so I emailed her, and we've hit it off. been talking for a few days, and she lives in the province I'm moving to, so we have stuff to talk about.
so, thank buddha for new friends.
