Yahooka Family Gathering...2010

just a drunken thought that probably wouldnt work, but if it did work could be a good time. Vegas would seem to be ideal. But any city with "tourist attraction", ie stuff to do, would work. Denver would be fun, a 40 car caravan mountain burn ride would be historic, on our end and the cops who would check out 40 cars in a row, but wed all only get misdemeanor tickets. As David Gray would say, a ticket to a Rockies game would be more severe.

Would yall venture to such a thing? Or would it be internet bullshit turning into fistfights? I think those who enjoy this place would be more prone to show and outnumber the internet muscleheads. Id surely make the trip if possible. I say lets start planning something, surely we could get a block of rooms at a good rate, and flights to vegas can be found hella cheap. Imperial Palace here we come.......

im talking like a bbq or something. i would def be down though.

we'd have to get a list of people that would want to come and where they are. cause I could almost guaruntee you that the majority of the people going might be too far from denver... then again maybe not.

yeah i hear ya on the bbq. i was gonna say yahooka family picnic but theres gotta be more than just a picnic to travel to. but yeah there must be a bbq/picnic/cookout/whatever ya call in involved. we rent a pavillion in a park and have our time. but theres got to be more reason to travel then just a picnic. hell we could get a hell of a deal on a park pavillion in terre haute, indiana but who the fuck wants to travel there. and yeah denver is far for alot, but in the middle of the country where is reasonable? seems closest to centrally located with "ideal to vacation to" draws. same with vegas, a TAD further west, but rooms and flights are hella cheap there, they dont have to know we dont all plan on gambling away shit loads of money. but id love to fill a blackjack table with all yahooka fam and have a blast with that shit.

plus the chances that anyone would clear that weekend or whatever and make it out to wherever without family or work or personal shit getting in the way, plus the fact alot of people here fuck up on a regular basis...

its just not ever going to happen unless someone gets mega rich and flys everyone out...

which i will do when i get my million bucks

thats why im saying its gotta be some place worthy of clearing the weekend for and planning ahead. and thats why im saying vegas/denver/any suggestions. surely the most would enjoy a few days in vegas. the majority spent doing your own thing with whomever, with a few gatherings planned. i hear what youre saying. but i still think that if it was planned well in advance, in a fun city, a good # of people would turn out. obviously every member of yahooka couldnt turn out, but even if 50-100 made it it would still be a good time. hell we might even be able to gain our own forum, surely it wouldnt be anymore worthless than the old folks home forum.

Denver makes the most sense to me. It's sort of in the middle of the continent and weed is decriminalized there and it's the Governors resting place.

I'd be willing to make that trip but I'm not going past the rockies.
