Lightbulb Soft-ware For Stoners?

I was wondering, would you guys find it useful to have some kind of private soft-ware(maybe a web-site with applications) that helps do math calculations involving Grams/Ounces/Pounds/Kilos and Currency(profit calculators)? Maybe including some slang, some form of strain data-bases(forming possibly a marijuana family tree), hashish equipment(x grams needs x mls of isopropyl alcohol) calculators etc? Recipe calculators/Recipe data-bases? Maybe even a program that allows you to remember where you put your spare-set of car-keys and other lose-able items? Perhaps a Cannabis in Fat(blood alcohol calculator but with pot)for drug-tests in the future?

I am a bored computer science major just looking for a fun side-project that would benefit us cannabis users.

If you think a web-site or form of soft-ware would be valuable just say something like "I'm down" or throw in some suggestions? & <3

I already got that software/hardware- my brain.

But, nah, a website would be cool. Collects data... but then that would jsut be an easy tool for the haterz, ie police.

Sounds handy to say the least. Never heard of the Cannabis to fat ratio. The strain family tree would be pretty rad too.

converting ounces to pounds? profit calculations?

a lot of the stuff you want to calculate has too many variables (thc blood count, recipe calculator, etc) to be able to model with a computer program.

the other stuff a simple calculator will do, you dont need computer program to convert ounces to pounds, just divide by 12. plus why make extra evidence if you get caught?

divide by 12....hahaha... 16 exactly the usefulness in it maybe?
I meant by things like, you sell 3.5gs for 45 dollars and you got a zip for like 280 how much profit do you have? None of the information would be saved. See you gotta actually think about things like that. I mean if it's online I dunno how that would be more evidence.
I mean it's just a bunch of ideas but the general input here is no. Thanks for answering.

Writing a phone app, maybe for the G1, would seem more useful.

Yeah that's key because otherwise it'd just be a list of everyone's drug transactions on their server haha.

and if Smaerd can make a program that remembers where you put things you misplace, we'll all be better for it. It sounds like a cool idea though. tokerstoolbox.com?

I am looking into that G1 thing. Apperantly there is a preview soft-ware kit for it I'll chickity check it out, see if it's manage-able. should be. If it is then it will be named something like "Mass Calculator" so it isn't too suspicious(if for some reason the fed's scoped your phone) haha.

The lost item thing is kind of a tricky thing like you'd have to up-date the things that you may lose which you might forget to do, unless your on your computer pretty frequently. But if it's something like alright "my spare keys are now in my top-dresser" so if lose my normal keys then I'll just check the program and woo-hoo.
All of the source-code for these things would be available in-case one was actually that paranoid about what the program is actually doing. I'll get crackin' and let those who are interested of the updates on this project, updated .

would be cool to have a website where people could enter raw data and have it dynamically analyzed in some way. Such as reporting strains by location. You could then have it update a map showing strain density in different areas, and show a map over time (it'd look like a doppler map) of strains moving around. Eh, i dunno.

Maybe make a program finding how much weed is needed per ammount of oil/butter. Youd need an estimate of the thc % of the bud, and some data showing how much fat molecules per thc molecules are needed.

btw, how is being a comp sci major? Im going off to college next year and i was originally thinking of majoring in philosophy (worthless for jobs) then maybe going into law school. Comp sci is more and more seeming like a better idea, though. Im good with computers and i imagine a computer job could be pretty laid back. Is it a pretty interesting major?

if you like spending most of your waking time staring at a computer monitor trying to figure out where you misplaced a semi-colon, sure

Uhm... Nah, good try, but - Nah. ^

Of course I'm eager to develop something I'm bored. What major are/were you where on an online weed smoking forum you can use multiple '?' and abbreviate the word thanks to 'thx'? it's fuckin' not fuckin. Be more positive or shut the fuck up you don't know shit about me. How would me not using one of my real talents as work benefit you?

anyways -
Yeah computer science is a breeze, I've been programming since I was like thirteen though. So I haven't opened a book yet aside from to read assignments. It is really nice though going into a world of only logic and calling it work haha.

IOnlyLookLazy - now'day's even most free IDE's/Compilers will point you to the lines where you have made syntax errors. Even help you organize your code too.

There are plenty of apps on iTunes (10,000 now). Tons of unit converters of all sorts just without the slang you desire.
