first time iv heroin

just did my first shot. two, actually.
took over 30 minutes to get the first, with about 3-4 failed attempts. I discovered i wasnt going down deep enough. it was fairly week, highly diluted.

after the second shot, i began to get dizzy.. very dizzy almost blacking out so i kept walking around my apartment flailing my arms, trying to ride it out.

Is that the infamous rush? I hope not. It was more like an anxiety attack, thinking of overdosing and panic. Now, about 5 minutes after that, i know i am fine and even coming down. Just thought I'd share.

thinking about another... i want to experience the rush, and is that it? about 30 seconds-2 minutes it hit me... black tar btw.

I doubt i even got a good hit, because I had lower back pain from working out, and after the second shot it still hurt and was sore, and anyone who does opiates will tell you that they reduce pain, so that convinced me it was not very good.

I think i just need to do more, with less water and more h. Like the above poster said it was probably mostly water, which acted by diluting my blood, therefore mimicking the effect of losing blood which caused the light-headedness and blacking-out feelings.

If you aren't sure how to shoot up, realistically without judgement here, you should find someone who can help you. For the love of God, make sure your needle is clean. Where do you live? Is there a needle exchange near you? That is a good place to seek help in all ways. You are going to choose what you want, so I'm not going to give you a speach or anything, everyone knows it's better to just not do it, but unfortunatly all that leads to is people, like yourself not knowing how to make safe, risky choices.

I'd rather you not do it eh? But you are the only one who can choose. Make sure you're safe as you can be and if you aren't sure how to shoot and you are, then imho you aren't making the smart one. See what I'm saying?

I've finally joined that fraternity, the exclusive club of people who have intravenously injected heroin. I wanted to do it to gain the experience, experience all the experiences that life has to offer. This is one of the greatest of them.
When watching a movie about addiction and heroin, everybody else in the room will think during a special scene "oh, that's nice a song" or "oh a nice movie, a nice view" while you will really connect to what's happening in a way that the others can't. Similiar to a person who's been down and out with his career, to connect with Micky Rourke in The Wrestler, or someone who's had an ex laugh and connect when Woody Allen makes a joke about women, or a veteran during Saving Private Ryan. Most of those experiences you may not have had, but the Heroin one is now. While watching that movie, similiar to how Anne Frank described her period, the world will be going on around me while there's a little secret inside me that only I know about

for an other highs thread id say there's alot of negative/unnecessary shit in this thread.

a few words of advice:

your heroin could be bad, highly cut and impure and the dizzy feeling you are getting is either a result of your body's bad reaction to these impurities, a reaction between other drugs you take (antidepressants for one) or you could be TOO high and you got sick but i doubt that is the case because you'd probably be puking or passing out.

the "infamous rush" you speak of is glorious and if you properly injected good dope you would be in heaven. the first time is always the best and its never as good as when you first start. something went wrong with your experience and you either missed the vein or injected bad dope or not enough dope (if it was highly diluted, but even this is unlikely because of the potency of injected dope, 1/4 a typical dose or bag would get a first timer nodding) but its probably a combination of things. injecting for the first time can be confusing, dangerous and nerve racking the first time especially if you dont have someone who knows whats up.

did you hit a vein? did you register to make sure you were in a vein? how large a dose did you take? how did u prepare it? what is your tolerance?

id recommend going to "opiophile.org" if you have questions/comments about dope you will find more legit information from junkies and shit.

^ and for gods sake, dont think you are in a cool exclusive club of people who have IV-ed dope. there are movies and songs that glamorize it but in actually its just a really good way to waste your life

Thanks Ted for the kind advice. I wish I could clean up some of those negative responses. Alot of people probably feel like that about their pot smoking, so why all the judgement eh? Calling someone dumb, isn't a good way of prevetion and enabling healthy outcomes.
