I'm of the school of thought that things like that aren't entirely harmless. I understand it's strictly digital, but I don't like the implications of it and don't think we need such ugliness in the world, regardless of tangibility or not.

Also if someone has a true propensity for rape I'm willing to bet that playing a video game isn't going to do much to satiate them, nor should we be placating such desires.

Video games are still socializing tools, like tv. Not everyone can discern the difference between reality and fantasy. I don't think that making a game that make rape more normalized is a good thing.

I think it could be better that these weirdos that get off on that kind of thing have the ability to act out their rape fantasies digitally without actually hurting anyone.

However it could potentially open doors to make them want to act them out IRL and end up really hurting one or many women.
