doggie in heaven

so yesterday the vet came over and put the dog to sleep. he was an akita chow mix and the doctor said those breeds have a normal lifespan of 8 -10 years. our dog was 16 and he was blind and deaf and was sleepy all the time.

monday night he had a seizure which was really freaky and horrible looking, i thought for sure it was his end.

i yelled at the baby (7 years old, old enough i guess to see a seizure, and death)but anyway i was yelling at her "go to bed! its bed time! go to bed now!'
we carried him (the dog) on his blanket outside onto the grass while he was shaking and contorting with his mouth open impossibly wide and just as suddenly it stopped. when he came to his back legs didnt work and he couldnt walk tho he kept trying to get up and walk

i didnt cry or anything because i was pretty much mentally prepared for it since he was very old, but now theres a empty place on the kitchen floor where he used to be and its just weird him not being there.

rip buddy

Losing a pet that's been with you for over a decade and a half is never a good feeling.

Just think of him relaxing up in the clouds.

My dog had a seizure once or twice before he we took him to the vet to be put down because his legs stopped working. Scared the everliving fuck outta me. The worst was taking him to the vet and realizing he kinda knew what was coming, miss him every day. I cried like a little baby when it happened. Been there and that shit sucks.

RIP.
