Man if you feel like crying it's great to honour that feeling and whatever reasons you want. But realize its an emotion, a sensory experience. You can still be positve and sad at the same time.

The benefits would vary with the therapy I think, if chemo or radiation treatment are used I believe herb helps a great deal.
