Dear Yahookans,
I want to get a discussion started….
A couple of weeks ago I posted a new thread in the Regional Unity forum, about the blog I started on my website, which I will not mention. Unfortunately, the thread has disappeared from the RU forum because of forum problems, so I cannot direct you there. Part of this thread starter was removed, it was considered spam by one of the moderators. The text part was left intact, a picture and a link were removed, a small discussion was started.
Now, after thinking about my post being considered spam, I do not see the reason why, because my site has been rewarded a Yahooka Highlight years ago, and is still on a good, visible place in the Yahooka directory.
I placed the link to my blog and a picture of a project for cannabis friendly holidays in Spain on this forum because I thought my information would add to this website, as do we all in one way or another. The blog is about my daily life, and my profession, I am the co-owner of two coffeeshops in the Netherlands.
I still think my blog is interesting enough to be posted on Yahooka, believe me, I am not trying to get more business, so don’t come to my coffeeshops! I just want to let you share in what is happening around a guy who does cannabis for a living, in two different countries, promoting regional unity big time. I have been locked up in four European countries for presumed cannabis possession, how’s that for regional unity?
Besides that, I think I am the only coffeeshop entrepreneur available on the internet for comments, critics and useful information about the cannabis goings-on in the Netherlands.

For all members:
There are proper ways this could have been handled. If your thread disappeared, PM first the MODS (all of them) of THE FORUM it was in to find out why it's gone and explain the thread, it's contents...why you think it's important, etc. There are a variety of reasons it could be gone, going "overboard" is hardly one of them.

This of course in no way means that you'll get the thread back, however, it's a good place to start.

I did not see the original un-edited version of your posts, but I will comment on what I did see.

You said, "I am not trying to get more business, so don’t come to my coffeeshops!", but on the other thread you also said, "99 % of dutch smokers use tobacco in their joints, makes coffeeshops veryyy empty..."

You also said, "Yahooka was the first cannabis forum I joined, used it to launch te 'Dope-deal-webcam from my coffeeshop."

And, "and about our cannabis friendly mini-resort in Spain, which will be opening soon."

To me, all those things make me feel you are promoting your own personal business interests. That equals spam.

Now, on the other hand, your blog was informative and interesting. I too, am/was curious to the workings of a coffeeshop.

The mods, in my opinion, are great. If a mod edited your post wrongly, then oh well. They do this for free. I'm sure you have seen the crap that goes on in here. They are most definitely over-worked as well.

If you had been more consistent of a poster, over the years, I feel you might have gotten more lee way with your blog. As it is, I feel that you are using Yahooka to advertise your businesses.

Having said all that, I do hope you will stick around. I think you have important things to share and personally, I like seeing more wrinkles in the forums.

lol, not so much overboard than it is disorganized, as the past few posts indicate .

They let that MarijuanaRadio guy post advertisement threads for some reason, I haven't seen him comment on anything else, unlike yourself.

Personally since you're a long time member and are doing this for a very personal reason and not just business, I hope it is allowed as I too am curious of your experiences.

The last few posts weren't disorganized, we were both trying to remedy the issue, but I guess people will complain no matter what.

Ya know...this place has been majorly fucked as of late and some of us are working our assess off to get this place in some sort of order...ontop of dealing with everyday mod stuff.

ps how hard is it to mod really? we're not the busiest board around. i guess the recent problems kick it up a notch but it can't be that bad. what's the interface like? i don't imagine you have to go through lines of code or w/e on the usual. i could always help you guys out since, ya know, cc's been missing and all.

I meant disorganized and subjective as a whole, but that's also stemming from the admins as well. I know your struggles I was an admin that did a lot of change too, Sage could fill you in on my accomplishments.

People are complaining because they don't like what they see, and being brutish about it doesn't help. I listed one prime example, I could list a few more, but again I've done that in PMs already.
