probably, because it increases the humidity and temperature which creates ideal conditions for bacteria.

however, the average human body has up to 10 times more bacterial cells in their body than their own cells, so having a few more bacteria on your ears doesnt really matter.

I bought skullcandy earbuds a couple of months ago because I heard they were mroe durable. Probably cost me $30. The sound quality was decent (think much better than ipod headphones but not stellar) but the left earbud has already blown out.

fuck skullcandy! anybody have a recommendation for a decent quality, comfortable and DURABLE pair of headphones that wont break bank?

i've got a pair of $3.25 earbuds that have lasted me about six months, which is way longer than i expected them to. they're called "coby" which sounds like it should cost about $3.25, but they're pretty decent and, like i say, have lasted much longer than any other pair of earbuds i've had.

headphones are good for at-home usage only, i feel. too bulky and irritating when you take them with you somewhere.

That's my recommendation.

Was my main christmas present 2 years ago (I've since exchanged for a new one in that time as I was too rough with the original pair), but from what I recall they were just under $200.

If you have any appreciation for music quality, it's worth every penny.

Truthfully there are better ones to be had for the same amount of money, but yes, triports are nice, scored mine for $40, then later they were kinda half working and I broke them while trying to fix them. Friend that jerks off to electronics is supposed to help one day though.

Freaky Facts?

anyway, these are my home/travel pair:

dad found them on a plane and gave 'em to me. quite amazing pair of headphones.

and these are my work/school pair:

by far the best sounding earbuds i've ever had the pleasure to use. and aside from losing one of the little rubber pieces while it was hanging not in my ear at work, i've had no problems. and 2 or 3 extra pairs of the rubber was only like 4 bucks.
