Fireplaces

We just snagged an apartment with one...does anybody here have one? How often do you use it? I intend to use it weekly, if not nightly sometimes. A bowl, a beer/glass of wine, some mellow tunes and the fire is god damned transcendental.

Yeah, I have one. I don't use it nearly enough, though. Maybe a few times a year, tops. Fuck tho, you've inspired me to use it tonight and watch a movie.

Is your's wood burning or gas? Mine's wood buring.

had one growin up. make sure your flue is open when you light a fire. if its closed, then your apartment's gonna fill with smoke.

Yeah it's open, I've used it a few times already. It's wood burning, so it's a pretty cool thing to have to chop on a regular basis.

i have one in my living room and one in my basement. rarely use it. only in the winter sometimes, and on the odd cold rainy day when i've been outside a lot.

Open fire in the front room, use it most of the winter. It`s great for burning junk mail .

This winter over Christmas the local tourism station shut down for a while and just played a picture of a fire burning in a fireplace.

Pretty funny, my friend set up a space heater next to it, so it actually seems to radiant warmth.

And 10 years later, the rug looks like it's brand new.

I have a insert with dual blowers. It works great. I don't really use it for heating anymore, just emergency's and for fun.

I got a firepit in my backyard and bought a ton of wood for this summer. Drinking beer and bullshiting around the fire is great. The sounds of a wood fire are so comforting. Snap crackle and pop!

Haha actually in the city I use a propane firepit not even sure if a real fire is even legal here. Real wood gets burned back home in the north bay. Propane fire sucks compared to a real fire. Its been too hot for a fire last night we were chilling in the backyard the new room mate says why don't we turn on the fire pit and we all just started at her like she is retarded.
