Yeah, I really really hate this show. My gf loves it.
Essentially, the show revolves around making alliances and breaking them, as mentioned above. However, there are also teams created by the producers. So what you get is people totally ignoring the teams they're on, throwing challenges to screw their own teams over, and people voting off the most athletically skilled contestants.
I never made it to the end of the season (cancelled my cable subscription, for obvious reasons), but it seemed like it was just going to degenerate into the least-skilled competitors remaining, being rewarded with huge cash sums for their trickery and backstabbing.
I wish VH1 would just die.
