That's really fucked up bearsy. I was about to say how cool of a project that would be. My cousin buys junker houses and lives in them while working on them and sells them after. He's made himself a fair amount of cash just from that.

Don't worry, you'll find something better. The fact that it got burnt down just has to be an omen of sorts.
