BBC NEWS | England | Wear | Girl charged over £750k drug farm

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with cultivating cannabis valued at £750,000 at a house in Sunderland.

Up to 1,500 plants, along with sophisticated lighting and ventilation equipment, were found at the property in Trimdon Street on Tuesday.

Northumbria Police said the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested near the property.

i live in sunderland. my mates gaffer owned that house he was in there today having a look around, all the plants were gone but all the gear was still there he showed me some photos off his phone earlier
