Back in the day you were more likely to grab seeds n stems' that were grown in bulk and distributed cheap. Granted some people could cop some real tropical shit, or just grow something worth smoking, but they were far fewer than nowadays.

Shit any dufus can go to NYC and cop AAA commercial headies for a consistent price these days. Those people doing that game have the resources to consistantly harvest top of the line ish whereas the local townie gardeners are still poppin out merely AAAish type shit. so i saw this show where they were talking about how the dea always says that pot is soo much stronger these days then it was in the 70s.

and when i usually hear this im like word up thats phat who cares...?

but they use it as a reason why its "dangerous"

so anyway this tv program i saw explained what i hadnt thought about before. in the 70s , AS NOW shwag and mexican brick weed is crap was crap and always will be crap. with very low tch content etc.

but in the 70s there was panama red and columbian pot and all that shit which even people from back in the day describe as "buds" and not like the mexican shwag that is typically associated with the 70s...

so panama red etc probably corresponds much closer to the high grade stuff around these days- i mean obviously it hasnt been hydroponically grown to perfection with 2000s technology and bred for high thc. but the prog i saw at least said that those better types of bud were much stronger and had buds and no seeds (aka sensimellia) even back in the 70s...

any older stoners can probably easily help me out here, but yea, i just thought it was interesting that those special names of bud like they talked about in cheech and chong and shit were real bud from collumbia and south america and probably were close to as strong as high grades today.
