while i agree with your sentiment, you should realize that your problem is with oil companies, those getting wealthy off the oil industry and the system itself and not the low level employees who rely on fossil fuel related industry for survival. thats like blaming the soldiers in iraq for bush's fuckups. its just not cool.

he was overly harsh with the freezing thing, but IMO anyone working for an oil company, whether an entry level guy or the head honcho, is still getting rich off the oil industry and should shoulder varying degrees of blame for it. I think the blame needs to be placed even higher though, on society, for our expectation of cheap and plentiful oil. As long as that demand is there, someone will supply it.

And slapstick, I gotta agree with hfb, no way you couldn't find ANY job for YEARS. C'mon how are you even living if you haven't worked for years? If that charge is the reason you can't find anything, get that shit pardoned ASAP. Not sure about the States, but in Canada you can get a pardon after 3 years for a summary conviction or 5 years for an indictable offense.

Then you'll only have to explain why there's a several year gap in your resume, not the circumstances of that charge.

Also, I googled it, and a government site tells me that the law in NM prevents having sex

Has the law changed or am I mis-reading this section? Maybe I'm wrong and it's at least 18 years old OR four years older, but it seems like both are needed based on the above quote.
