obama is good president. nice to have a president who is actually intelligent and can answer questions, he was really good in that interview where he swatted the fly
but yes, politics is petty

I assume PETA was glad when Dick Cheney missed and shot his buddy rather than the quail.
edit: biggest win for all would be if he shot Dan Quayle.

I can't bring myself to care about insects and I think PETA would be better served as an organization to focus on larger issues of animal cruelty like factory farming than these ridiculous fringe issues that 90% of the public doesn't give a fuck about.

peta does SOME good. i dont really care for the organization but i respect that they exist. they do raise awareness of factory farms, bring awareness to cruelty and etc... aside from being total pussies

This is the problem with PETA. Their basic message is great, and it's very important. They just fuck it up with lame shit like this, and fewer people will take them seriously. PETA's work has revealed the harsh world of factory farming to alot of people who otherwise would be clueless, and that's something they deserve alot of credit for. However, when they start in with the red paint throwing, publicity stunts, and comparing factory farming to the Holocaust, they undermine their own credibility with the very people they exist to convince.
I'm a vegetarian because of PETA, and I like what they stand for. I just wish they could be more like the Humane Society in the way they carry themselves. ![]() The Rev |
