nothin much. i finished training last month, now im in the real army. lucky for me it looks like i'll never have to deploy, but instead simply milk the government for a couple years and enjoy fantastic benefits.
just finishing up my peaceful weekend here in the desert that is el paso, watching The Wire on dvd and soaking up the a/c. got drunk friday, bought an awesome shirt yesterday, and going to a massive local jam thing tonight. shit ain't too bad

13f. i'm in a new unit that won't be built up for a long time. i could have volunteered to deploy with another unit that's leaving in august, but i opted out. i'm content to get paid to hang out all day and listen to music and learn guitar on my off time. in a couple years the gov will be paying for my higher education, as well as me getting high

3 years later.... http://www.yahooka.com/forum/free-all/149496-fuck.html The only way I'd ever join the military is if I got a pilot slot and that's NEVER guaranteed when signing the dotted line so I'm never going to join! |

but yeah i'm finishing up season two of the wire. i'm picking up three here in a couple hours. this is one of the best shows i've ever seen, but of course every great show takes a turn for the worse eventually. although maybe this one's different.. are all six seasons as masterfully written, directed, and acted as the first two? i don't know what i'll do with myself when i run out of wire seasons to watch. maybe this is why so many soldiers kill themselves

sometimes the time between having a serious relationship with a show is just as important as the show itself...
cheer up, im sure when your time with the show is up you'll find a great rebound show and be back in your old spirits in no time!
