there is alot more to life and experience than drugs, and as a person who did alot of drugs in highschool and early college, i have to say that the drug "experience" is over-rated. alot of kids buy into the lie of "coolness" in highschool, i dont blame them its just that when you are young and in highschool you care less about studying and your future growth as a person and more about the social aspect. i got high pretty much every day of highschool and it got me nothing, i avoided growing as a person, i avoided achieving the best that i could achieve. at the end of the day you have a long life to live ahead of you and especially when you are young the last thing you should be thinking is that drugs are important.

the reason your brother does well in school and has no friends is not because he doesnt do drugs, its because that's just his personality. i will assume he is socially awkward and/or a nerd. likely when he gets out of his house and goes to college he will experience new things and blossom into a more confident and stronger person than you because he already has the discipline to do well in life and as you said he has scholarships that will help him on his way. on the other hand the kids who think drugs are cool in highschool if they continue to think drugs are cool will end up being losers in life.

i agree that experimenting with drugs might broaden your horizon or perspective in some way, but in the end all you are really doing is fucking with your head and not actually experiencing anything real. real experiences are things that you arent high for.

word man i just can't imagine what kind of sets have been released. shit got really gay right around mirage imo. but my bro still has an assload of cards, like 3 full sets of 4th edition plus a bunch more, so every once in a while we'll throw a deck together and play. wish i still had my pewter life counter

the thing that i dont like about magic is that its more about how powerful cards you have and not just a fair game based on skill.

for example the sliver decks are so fucking lame, those cards are way too overpowered, and anyone who goes out and buys all the sliver cards is going to pwn everyone else

you might think im fuckin cheesy then because one of my fav decks was a goblin deck. actually i take back what i said about mirage, relentless assault pwns

and i dunno man slivers could easily be beaten by a stasis/counter deck, maybe some white mixed in for healing/wrath of god. i liked that there was always a way to beat pretty much any deck, but surely my playstyle is antiquated.
