Calling people out for shit?

I'm not going to lie, I notice people do a lot of dumb shit. I don't know if I am just more observant than other people but some people are just idiots..

Do you guys call people out? I hardly ever do unless it's real bad.

Honestly, whenever people make statements on how elevated they may seem to their peers, it pretty much just reveals that they themselves don't know how dumb they are.

Just stating an old saying Aurora I didn't mean that to be directed at you or anyone. Only stating nothing new under the sun....

I won't call you out, but, only if you pm me an epic, secluded camping site either in AB or BC that I would enjoy. A good lake for fishing, lots of tree's, etc. If you do that for me I will forever love you.

Like in real life?

I see people do dumb shit everyday. It's usually stupid enough to call them out on, however I refrain because it's not making anyone's life better by doing so. A couple days ago I saw 2 women and one of their daughters up and set up their folding beach chairs in the parking lot of our farm. I wanted to ask them WTF they were thinking, but I figure they don't know, didn't care, and were happy.

Honestly Spanky, you seem to some sense about yourself. It's not hard to pick out the idiots in this world, but you just gotta let it go because there are a lot of stupid people in this world.

On the internet? Not usually. I don't come on the internet to point out the dumbass, or show how intellectual I am, so unless it's for fun I usually won't call someone out.

It figures you would say something like that.

Calling people out on stuff is argumentative, so I don't do it as much as I used to. I have just found after 42 years, that people don't change their mind when you argue with them, so why bother? Occasionally, it is necessary, when you must do so in order to uphold a high personal value. Calling out Holocaust denial might be a good example of that.

What Komp said, too, really reveals alot about the desire to prove others wrong. If you are right, you are right. When you need to put others in their place for being "not right" it usually has more to do with personal insecurity (and ignorance of one's own ignorance) than any lofty ideal.
