I hardly believe Catholics are neutral to Homos.

Catholics are apparently ok with homos, but are not ok with homosexual acts.
which is sort of a conundrum

I question a few of the charts conclusions, especially catholics being neutral on homosexuality, but also muslims being neutral on divorce and abortion. Granted it isn't easy to sum up the viewpoint of multiple sects of a religion concerning a complicated issue into one concise point but on the whole I think "condemned in most cases" is more accurate for the muslim view of abortion and divorce.

yeah but you'd have split personality disorder
like one side of you would want to hoard everything and be super greedy
and the other would want nothing but the shirt on your back to give everything away

That's true. An athiest, if you give them enough alcohol, will suck their own cock whilst you bust one on their face. They're really party animals, actually.

There are actually pretty easy to find stipulations on these matters in the Quran. If I'm not mistaken life isn't life until the 3 trimester interesting enough discovery or parellel from 1500 years ago. Birth control is also talked about. And divorce has alot to do with the man making sure the woman's rights are respected and she is taken care of. Some parts are really story oriented, but other parts read like a diagnostic manual for proper society. The intersting part to me is that these things are talked about. There are 'rules' for war as well, so one knows how to conduct it. As opposed to the Bible that has war in it, but no clear outline as to starting ending or 'ethics' of it, if you will.

Catholics are in the line of thinking that it's okay to be Gay, just not acting on it. Repression.
-------
And the Buddhist precept on sex is that one is supposed to be responsible with their sexual conduct. And I feel that masturbation more than premaritial sex is more of a No, as a whole.

But really, it's hard to say because Buddhism has so many facets and rules with in the country they are prevelant in are also different from place to place.

This chart is intersting, but too black and white, these issues span a gamit of opinion within the religion.

And in general let's not use this topic for 'funny' stereotypes, please.

I guess it is more things like the people you see on the news holding signs like, "god hates fags," that makes it hard for me to see their position as neutral.

godhatesfags.com is the Westboro Baptist Church, which is mostly comprised of members from Fred Phelps's immediate family. I don't know if they coined that phrase but....anyway....

If you would be talking to an 'intellectual' within that religion of Catholicism, which was the origonal statement, they would more likely use the higher ground and say what I said, which is to not act first, work on 'rehab' later.

I agree though that the position still isn't neutral, but the God hates fags people aren't the average member in my mind. People might not agree with homosexuality, but I doubt they'd be bursting at the seams to use the word hate.

I suppose my view could be tainted as the people that tend to get the most press and be the most visible are those who fall on the extreme side. A sign with, "God would probably prefer it if you could avoid having homosexual relationships in the future" probably wouldn't make quite as good of a story.

Sad and true that making a calm passive oppisition doesn't get you too many places in the world of the press and social norms.

"Would the US please withdrawl troops from Iraq as soon as possible?"

nah....

"Fuck the war"
