OK, so my meal plans for tonight have been updated to something more sophisticated. Thanks guys

And I just weeded my garden and picked my first carrots and tomato of the season. They're gonna get involved with the bbq and some steak or pork somehow.

Cholesterol lovers, see what you're missing after around, say, 50:

I couldn't find a pic of a flaccid rock for comparison, so you're just going to have to wait until you turn 50, then look at your dick.

you're just jealous cuz you can't make a steak that looks half as good.

seasoned with only fresh ground pepper and kosher salt...anything else all you will taste is the marinade not the meat.

Thumbs down

I can make a steak that looks ten times better, because I don't buy shitty meat.
Please note the highlighted problem areas.
Your meat should not look like it's been dropped in the dirt unless...well...ever .
Your meat should not be pulling away from the bone/torethefuckup.
Your meat should not look like shit.
Better luck next time.

some people just have higher standards for certain things, whether it be pot, or meat.

Not at all. I just don't eat shitty meat. Shrugs. I'm also not a huge fan of steaks, t-bones even less so. So if I'm going to eat a steak you better believe it's not gonna look like that.
Pork over cow any day.

well, its definately edible, but some people just have higher standards like I said.

Just like with other things like wine and pot, if your not a conasiour(spelling? jesus..) or have high standards for such things, you just don't notice the negatives.

How can you have high standards with something you don't even fully enjoy? You probably havn't experienced enough of a standard to base a high one on!

Oh hush you, I have a jackass for a father who only eats steak. I usta have to eat it all the time, I just don't care for it like I do other meats anymore. I don't claim to be a connoisseur, and I certainly don't go for no couple grand slab of meat - but anyone who tries to claim that's omgzorz so great is BS. Don't kid yourself.

I disagree.

if you have the highest quality ingredients (especially when doing simple things like grilling meat), its almost impossible to mess up, even with a horrible cook. the worst you can do is burn it, and its still good, just scrape off the burn.

horrible ingredients and it takes an incredibly masterful chef to fix it, and sometimes they just can't.

for example, give anyone a burger patty made with kobe beef - sheer golden. worst thing possible is burnt. cut off the oustide and its good.

give a good cook a prepackaged frozen burger in those big bags from costco, there is really very little you can do. season all you want, you still have that horrible frozen taste.

Sorry, mother

No one ever claimed it was 'omgzorz so great', but anyone who said it was (if anything) at least edible didn't overly-criticize what is simply, an average steak.

Methinks it being someone other than Kish posting the pictures would have altered your efforts (efforts. read: NOT opinion)!
