i used to be a meat porter at a supermarket and im stingy as fuck so i used to slap 2 dollar coupons on london broils (one of the cheapest cuts, but good enough for me) at sale time and get a pound of london broil for 13 cents on the regular, shit was awesome, although eating a pound of meat to my brain was pretty gross. the cut of the meat is less important, its how you spice and cook it. typically a salt/pepper rub is the way to go. i am morally and ethically against eating meat, but at the same time i am a realist and i understand that being human eating meat once in a while is an acceptable practice as long as you are limiting your consumption and caring about the implications of your habit and attempt to purchase food from "better" sources and contrary to what i think some of you have said being a vegetarian is not unhealthy at all. realistically you cant be a vegan or vegetarian body builder but you are certainly not unhealthy and can get all your protein from non animal product sources.

Like I said, some people just have more refined tastes (not trying to be dick, just the only wording I could think of) and a salt rub and spices can't fix bad quality meat.
THe funny thing about vegans and vegetarians, is that there pretty much no product available that does not somehow negatively impact animals. Whether it be the vehicles it was shipped with have animals parts (leather, etc) or elsewhere in the manufacturing line (the container product is in may contain materials that animals were harmed making, or harmed shipping by vehicles.)

I've never really understood where the almost fervent hatred of vegetarians and vegans comes from
I mean the best arguement I can really think of is "I once saw it on maddox" and that's not even an arguement

I never understood how vegetarians and/or vegans are apparently all the same person.
Apparently they are all crazy PETA members. A friend who happens to be vegetarian was raised vegetarian. She doesn't give a fuck about PETA and buys leather products. It wasn't really her choice to be vegetarian, and now that she's older if she eats meat it makes her violently ill. There's also vegetarians who recognize that everything you buy is somehow linked to animals, but simply choose not to eat them for whatever reason. Believe it or not, there are also people who just don't like meat.

Nah dude I didn't mean you. I just mean in general apparently all vegetarians and vegans are the crazy PETA asshats. There's no way a normal functioning person could not eat meat, so clearly they're batshit crazy.
But fuckin kitch found me out. Secret agent

my older brother is a strict vegetarian, most of the time its a non -issue in the family except sometimes he makes annoying ass comments like "that looks nasty" (referring to a piece of meat or something) or when i got food borne illness he told me i "eat meat constantly" and its my fault. then i bitch him out about it and he is so smug and un-negotiating in his beliefs, but he has a particularly bad superiority complex. also when we go over conservative relatives houses they always make such a big fucking deal about it, and think vegetarians are weak and sickly. my grandmother told my brother to go to hell the other day because he refused to eat something with meat she cooked, then called the next day crying about how she didnt mean it. in general its just one of those things that its going to take society some time to become more progressive about, because as a society america eats way too much meat/animal product compared to other countries

![]() I understand if we're the preachy annoying asshole types, which sadly seems to be the stigma. Maybe I just refuse to hang out with such people subconsciously, but every vegetarian or even vegan for that matter that I know just do the same as I do, choose not to eat it. No bitching, no whining, no preaching. If someones got questions or wants to know, sure, but I'm not about to go harping on someone elses meal if they ain't got shit to say about mine. Quote:
Just for the record, while I'm rambling, PETA while having done a lot of good for the "movement" for lack of a better term, but now basically only serve to get shit in the news and otherwise make vegetarians look like a bunch of fervent nutjobs to those who don't know better than to disassociate extremists from the rest of the people behind a certain cause. Not a fan. I also buy leather occasionally though if there is a substitute readily available I'll be happy to purchase it. I didn't stop eating meat because it tastes bad. I've no qualms with the smell or appearance of it. In fact I have no problem admitting certain shit looks and/or smells good. I'll even be happy to say "yeah man, that looks good" unprovoked. Shit just isn't for me. I'll also apparently kiss people that eat meat. Same shit everyone else does only I don't eat it. I find it pretty hypocritical to be one of those assholes that preaches about what everyone else eats then gets pissy or butthurt when people make fun of them or says something about what they don't eat. Basically my outlook is I don't give a fuck what you do eat as long as you don't give a fuck what I don't. That said, that steak still looks like shit.
