My next check doesn't come until the 26th, and I'm not gonna drop a hundo on a piece of crap. So I have to wait until I can afford a high quality one. Cause I def want a 4 season tent not a 3 season tent. Good ones run $350+ for 4 season tents. And the money I have now is going to repairs for my bike. So I'm just trying to find a tent I can bum from a friend for this trip.

I had let my dad ride it for a week or so, and he beat the crap out of it. Sprockets are bent so much that 2nd gear is impossible to shift out of(can shift from 1st to 3rd if you do it quickly) and the 3rd gear sprockets are on their way too.
Herb, actually there's no problems on my bike due to stress, which is surprising, especially because I've had it since February. I was expecting the spokes to have been bent long before now. Anyway, it's probably not gonna cost more than 50 bucks but I'm not spending anything until I find out how much it'll cost. And the bike is more important than a 3 day camping trip with a ton of people I don't know and a few I do.

I could but they'll probably snap off, yanno? And even if they don't break I'll probably fuck it up worse than it originally was.

I love camping and backpacking. Here is my cheap little backpacking tent.
![]() ![]() It's barely big enough for me, so I have to hang my pack with its rain cover on it form a tree. But it's only like 2.5 pounds, so I can deal. For car camping I just use a Ozark Trail tent and shade tent. No one needs to see pics of a crappy walmart tent, so I'll spare them. Glad to see so many Yahookans with good tents and the camping spirit!

hahaha
that reminds me back in the day we used to steal firewood from other peoples campsites at like 3:00AM. fuck paying for wood. kind of an ass move but we targeted people with 23904823904ft trailers so we figured they'd be able to afford buying more in the morning. haha good times. EDIT: on topic, i no longer have one but def. will pick one up soon if we go camping this year. if not, then next summer...

we use a big toyhauler when we go hunting for a week or 2 at a time. its nice to play xbox/watch dvds/cook dinner on a stove/microwave/have a shower when your out there that long.
usually if im just going up for the weekend offroading/shooting, ill just take out my gear and throw a sleeping bag in the bed of my truck, nothing better than being drunk as a skunk crawling into a sleeping bag staring at the stars. last time i went camping with some friends and the girls didnt like the idea of not using a tent, so we ended up borrowing my dads 8 person tent and my homies brought a couple tents as well. |
