On that note, I hear vegetarians don't have as offensive body odors as omnivores, but I'm exposed to a lot of stupid urban legends--could be another. It makes more sense to connect body odor to hygiene consistency rather than variety in diet. Could be another bullshit lie spread by PETA.

I know some dirty hippies who are vegetarian/vegan and foul smelling due to the combination of unmaintained body hair/infrequent showers/lack of deodorant, so meat certainly couldn't be the cause in that case.

There's that and that vegetarians taste better.

Not quite sure what to think about either. I mean on one hand what you put in your body certainly has an effect on what it puts out in any matter and not just waste, but I'm also not certain that it's as big of a difference as they'd like to make it out to be.

I've never done any personal testing/polling on the issue though, so who knows. I'm willing to bet it leans more towards the common sense combination of personal body chemistry and diet than it does diet alone. I also think it's likely less an issue of meat consumption alone than it is what's likely to be a vegetarians higher intake of varied veggies/fruits and/or larger intake of the ones that apparently matter.
