its the place where survivorman has done a bunch of his episodes and he also made his old video snowshoes and solitude up there (if u havent seen that u gotta dl it , its really great).

anyway, on the maps wabakimi seems really close to the border with america but then he talks about it like its the great northern wilderness over and over- and it seems pretty secluded.

so i was thinking of going there for a camping trip in a few weeks , and i was wondering if any of u canadian hookans have ever been there and what its like/.

Havnt been, but if my google map search is any indication... thats pretty far north man. I know it may look close, but keep in mind, most of developed canada is pretty close to the US border, (especially in Ontario, its all in the southern wang which penetrates into america's womb) so up north of lake superior is pretty rugged.
