Talking "Hay guise! Iz very photogenic!"

So funny and cute. No, it's not PS'd.

Apparently there is a great story behind this picture too! Jackson and Melissa Brandt were hiking in Banff in May and stopped to take a photo with the beautiful scenery behind them. They set the auto-timer, posed, and then up popped this curious squirrel! The squirrel had been milling around and was very curious about the camera’s noises as it prepared to snap the photograph. The photo has been proven to be un-doctored and legit, and was even featured on the National Geographic website.

aw that is awesome. I had a squirrel pet for a day once. He was injured somehow and had this pulsating bubble on top of his head but he was pretty much ok. Well there was a party that night and I went to show him to everyone and he was crawling all over everything and I took my eye off him for a minute and somebody accidentally slammed him in a door. Then he died. He probably would have just shit all over everything anyway.

The end.

im so jealous of AL and her chillen squirrel along with anyone else who has had a pet-ish squirrel.

squirrels are so cool lol.

orangepeel is not cool tho cause he lets squirrels die in doors, but i think he's missing a leg though and that makes up for it somehow

I heard about that photo too, and I meant to look it up. Thanks, Asg! It's even cuter than I thought it would be.

Yeah there are a buttload of squirrels who hang out at my place. Every single morning as I drink my coffee, I watch them come to my balcony for breakfast. I like to think that it's because I'm like a Disney princess with an amazing knack for drawing woodland creatures to my door, but really it's as simple as leaving food out for them.

I wish squirrels and chipmunks could be domesticated. I know there are pet flying squirrels available, but I wouldn't want one soaring and shitting in my living space.

Squirrels are scientifically classified under rodentia, meaning they are rodents. Same as rats and mice.

I used to pet chipmunks and let them eat seeds out of my hand until I got bit one day. I believe chipmunks are also rodents.

SARS...totally doable. stayed in Islamorada across the canal from a dude who had a pet squirrel. He had a screened in porch he kept him on and the dude would come out to read or whatever and the squirrel would sit on his shoulder and let him pet him an shit.

my neighbor brought a baby squirrel home from the park. fucker was cool as hell he'd just climb up your arm and chill on your shoulder. poor little guy died like 3 days later though.
