OB's Born 1946-7-8/Nostalgia
Original or the first Boomers (no BO jokes) were born in 1946,1947 and 1948. We were the sons and daughters whose fathers were freshly back from the beaches of Normandy and Okinawa. We graduated in 1965,thereabouts, and went straight to college. Then college was the new status for our parents and it kept their precious ones from coming home in a body bag.
Let me begin the nostalgia train with some brief snippets from TV, which we all had by 1949. The Buster Brown Show (Andy Devine,Squeaky the Mouse and Midnight the Cat). Hopalong Cassidy (Who told us to go to bed and brush our teeth...literally!) Wire Paladin:San Francisco Yancy Derringer (With his awesome Indian friend w/the hidden shotgun) The Poor Soul, Reggie Van Gleason 111,Ray Block and his orchestra. London Lee,Molly Bee,Monty Rock Feel free to join in . . .
