Italy
Recently went to northern Italy, it's pretty cheap to fly there but the food and drinks are really expensive like £4-5 a pint..
Here's some photos I took while there: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() more to be found at:- deviantART |

Excellent photography skills, and most likely, a sweet camera as well.
Northern Italy is where I hear about everybody going--I guess Southern Italy has less or different to offer as far as tourism goes? I have an ex who was treated to a terribly expensive dish in N. Italy, composed of truffles (the rare mushrooms, not the chocolate). It was the Euro equivalent of about $220 a dish. He said it was the best meal of his life to date, but it was so rich it made him sick the next day. When I went, I had mixed opinions of the food that was available because I didn't know where/what I should eat.

thanks, the people are so much friendlier there than they are over here in England..
northern Italy is alot more mountainous as it has some of the alps in it makes things alot nicer compared to the flat land as you go further sotuh, we noticed alot of Italians went up north for their holidays. it's nice and cool up the mountains. Last edited by clive; 08-27-2009 at 02:26 PM. |

Agreed overall, although I have only been to select locations in both countries.

That is a shame. England would probably be my first choice so I could go to a foreign country without absorbing any foreign language or culture.
