Terry, I don't think you need to be online to play single player games on Steam.

I don't understand why everyone says that. It was a good game with altogether, but it was light enough that I wasn't glued to it like other games I have played.

It had a marginally complex plot. Enough to stay interesting but not too in depth that you get bored, or don't understand it. I kind of wish there was more story involved during the game play. There were also a lot of times when I would go for hours wondering if I was going to see another resistance fighter, Alyx, Dog or someone who would keep me company.

The game play was almost repetitive, but they mixed things up enough that it was interesting enough to keep wanting to play. I liked driving around on the fan boats.

the Original Half Life never worked on steam, so I just started playing HL2 one day. Now I have to figure that out.
