I'm planning a date in the fall to get a bunch of people together to get baked and watch a bunch of terrible movies in a friend's back yard. I see just as much value in an extraodinary piece of crap film as I do in an extraordinarily well executed masterpeice (be it for different reasons).
Anyways. I'm getting together a list right now. I'm staying away from anything controversial like Office Space (some say its great, some hate it) and intentional B movies (Tromeo and juliet, toxic avenger, repo the opera)...I'm thinking about doing some like Repo man, but it's kind of borderline...Some people like it, most don't.
Here's what I have so far...Considering the guidelines any suggestions would be helpful.

I had fun tearing apart Carnosaur with my friends years ago. I don't think its and international B movie, IMDB did not say either way.

Other than that maybe renting some Mystery Science Theatre titles, but not the Mystery Science the origionals. Those are proven gold for ripping on throughout.

Grade A idea, I am gunna steal this for a poker night substitute.

I want stuff that's cheesy without meaning to be (i.e. Ed Wood), bad acting, ridiculous adaptations, 80's cheesiness, rip off movies (like all the jaws rip offs) etc.

yeah it was good but its also pretty lame i bought a dvd with four movies and one was kindergartedn cop and i hadnt seen it since i was a kid and now it was fucking funny with arnolds acting....GGUUURRRAA AHHHHH

Whoah, whoah, whoah...Gummo a crappy movie? Are you kidding me? Harmony Korine is my favorite director dude. I like Julien Donkey Boy a little more, but I like Gummo more than Kids..I think even Ebert's fatass liked Gummo if I recall? Spaghetti in the bathtub, creepy tapdancing, killing cats, chair wrestling, skinhead brother fight, selling your retarded sister for sex...The best portrayal of lower class white people's lives I've seen to date. The movie is certainly not for everyone...But it's not a bad movie in any of the ways I would consider a movie bad...and isnt Mark Gonzalez the guy who wrestles the chair? haha... And even if you don't like/get the movie...HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THE QUEER RABBIT SCENE???
