Well the most I have paid for it was 60 for a q. The least I have paid for was 30 also a q. Believe it or not the 30 bag was better than the 60. I am in southwest Virginia.

I've paid up to $30 for a gram. Thats the most I've spent on it, and no, it was not worth it, it was shitty weed. I've gotta start growing it.

Shwag - $10 a gram, $25 an 8th, $35 a quarter, $60 a half, $100-$120 an oz.

Mids - $20 a gram, $40-$50 and 8th, $80 a quarter $150 a Half, $250 an oz.

High grade - $25-$30 a gram, $50-$75 an 8th, $100 a quarter, $200 a half, $350 an oz.

I hate my area, can't wait to get all my stuff for growing.

I hear that. I just got too freaked out a couple years ago when I read my state's draconian laws regarding "manufacturing" weed. I always did inside and there was a fire in which I was made to leave my apartment, which was smoked up but not burned. I was allowed to come back after the fire dept. checked out the inside to make sure it was OK. They thankfully didn't look inside the closet. I spent two days waiting for them to do the inspection while a cop sat outside to keep everyone away from the building.
I started in 1980 and saved a lot of money. Now I'm seeing $250-300/oz

Man, were you lucky that the fire dept didn't discover the garden...but you're smart for going the way of growing. Anymore, that's the only way to regulate quality control & not spend a fortune on ozs.
Yeah, you've been doing it awhile now...I only wish I had a green thumb. I can't grow at all. Thank goodness my 'brother' out West is a gourmet gardener & sends me a bunch. He loves to hear my 'smoke reports' & I'm more than willing to be his quality control manager.
I remember when I 1st started in 1969 -- $15/lid. I used to be a die-hard old school hippie who thought that we used to get the good imported weed [which it was damn good] & that the younger generation could never top our stuff. Man, was I ever WRONG!! [& I'll be the 1st to admit it]...the weed grown nowadays puts our stuff to shame.
Super Silver Haze, Cinderella 99, BR_1947, White Widow x Blueberry, Kali Spice, etc, etc [I could go on & on]. But holy shit!! !! The strength & the leggs of the weed grown now by the serious & proud stomps all over the Colombian & the Michoacan/Oaxacan/Acapulco Gold [the top Mexican weed] that we scored in the 70s & 80s.
Of course, there were exceptions [Panama Red & Thai-Sticks & some of the Jamaican] that come very close...but the weed my connect sends me is like 2-3 bong hits & I'm flying for 3-4 hrs. This NL x Sk#1 that I'm currently working on drops my IQ 50 points!!

Right now, $50 a quarter. I just moved here (VA) and this is my first and only connect. Has it been worth it? The last bag was some of the best weed I've had in awhile, but it weighed in at 6.7g so it wasn't a full Q.

Back home $50 would get me a half and it was decent. I prefer that for some reason and am looking for a new hook up after being shorted this last time.

I paid 350 for an oz of some great stuff. That's the highest I'd ever pay. I used to pay 325 as a standard. I've heard of people peddling oz's for like 400+ though.

But I no longer buy high-grade or by the ounce. I don't have the money, or the trust with a connection. I'm in the NE.

It's some pretty dense bud. Dried perfectly. Beautiful dark bud with purple trimming and vividly bright orange hairs. Best of all its covered inside to out with crystals to the point that it looks fuzzy.
luckily i have been able to get it on a regular basis since the school year started cause this is the perfect study bud. whenever i need to read and/or study for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time, just a few hits of this with put me on my ass for the duration of my study time.

Old school here. . .expects weight of plastic bag to be factored in. That 6.7 could actually be 5. Of course, half the people don't even know how much they buy, cause they don't bother with scales.

Another pet peeve is the "blunt" crowd, who pack in an eighth into a cigar and puff on it like a cigar, wasting half of it in the air.

Man, I'm behind the times with all the designer smoke nowadays. In the 60's, smoke took a back seat to Acid,Meth,Heroin (if you could find it). Coke. . . never found it, but with 150/OUNCE crystal, no one cared.
The two top highs (that I can recall) were BELLADONNA, which was sold openly in drug stores for an asthma remedy. I recall on two different occasions talking with an individual and wondered why she never talked back. A minute later that person would disappear into mist. Quite the mindblower as it was a real solid looking apparition, normal as anything. Found out later that Belladonna was used by the Hemlock Society. A community that advises on herbal ways to take your life.

The second..and I really will have no image now, was a mixture of Robitussin DM (a very under rated drug) and common Dramamine, which is used for motion sickness. It is generically known as ...hydramine, found in Benadryll, and sleeping pills...all over the counter. Taken together, usually a bottle and 1or2 pills produces real OutofBody experiences, the type experienced in heavy heroin "nods." We've all had the experience of lying in bed,late at night,dead tired and you have to go to the bathroom real bad. You get up, go to the bathroom, come back, then WAKE UP ! You didn't go at all, but you experienced walking thru the room, the whole trip.
I'm rambling, dude. The Golden Age of Drugs. Literally a time when you didn't know anyone that DIDN'T take drugs. Before the downward spiral of taking responsibility, making a living, and car payments.
Like Dennis Hopper said " For 2 weeks in 1967. . . everything was perfect."

The best herb I ever smoked cost me $30 for an oz., and got me so stoned I was rendered insensible. I could not talk or put words to my thoughts. That was in the early 1980s. I have never smoked herb again that did that to me, and I've smoked my share.

I like the term Willie Nelson weed, myself.

You're absolutely right, flappy. I have no idea where 16, 17, 18 yr olds earn enough cashola to supply themselves with a decent amount of doobage nowadays.
They'd either have to have a job that pays beaucoup bucks...come from a rich family...deal &/or grow. It's fuckin mind-boggling what the prices have gotten to in the past 40 yrs.
Plus can you imagine us old fuckers hitting-up some teenagers? Telling them we're looking to score? They'd think my 55 yr old ass was putting them on...or setting them up for a pop.
I've come to the conclusion there are only 2 ways for cats our age to have weed to smoke -- either have your own 'grow' or be good pals with someone who is a grower. I'm fortunate to know 3 different growers from 3 different areas of the USA. I get 'comped' my stash, but I always send them a money order to show my appreciation for their kindness, their expenses in growing, & the risk of shipping the product to me.
Talk about a nerve-racking few days waiting for the package to arrive!! My mind thinks of all sorts of shit during transit. But I receive enough to last me a long time, so I don't have packages arriving every month or 2. All kept in mason jars & the weed does stay nice & fresh. I open the jars on a regular basis & shift the weed around, as not to have it get stale.
But the quality of the smoke is so damn good...I need just a few blasts in the evening & I'm ripped for hours!! ....Plus I live in 1 of those golf/retirement communities, where all my neighbors are like 70-80 yrs old...so having a connect in the neighborhood is a joke. What kills me, though, is that these golfers all get drunk & then drive their golfcarts home from the cocktail party.
Still makes no sense how alcohol & tobacco are totally acceptable...killing hundreds of thousands of people annually...but a little weed is still enough to slap the cuffs on you. Makes a lotta sense, huh?

Man, you got to stop that transcient shipping. I work 20 hours/week in a UPS flite terminal and about every 6 months the cops show up WITH THE DOG, and cruise around all the packages. This is real, as I'm donut-eating security guard there (no drug testing policy!) and I see it all.
Too much of a risk, unless it's buried in frozen meat. They think the dogs are after the meat...that's a good tip for all out there whenever it's in your car. Buy some hamburg, buns a coke and put all in a cooler. Of course the weed is hidden in the meat. Nothing is 100 percent, but it's close.
I'm sure your friend is not using his return address on the package. Be careful out there.

Dude, may seem strange, but to circulate around the course where the residents drink could get results. Some of the little old ladies get high. My friend's got one on her delivery list ! Think about getting that closet grow together. You can't be sleeping well waiting for that package.
Just think, if you lived in Massachusetts, you could cop a light ounce, get busted and only pay a $100 fine !
