I just don't think it's that simple. Part of Von Braun's early research was funded by Nazi grants, and probably some coercion.

Google 'benefits of nasa research' and take you pick of what's used in everyday life.

I would love to see a debate between opposing sides on the Hitler question. It would be extremely heated at the least.

My school has little study desks which are almost like miniature cubicles. They have 4 of them bolted together all facing different directions.

I thought it was neat until I realized they look like a swastika from above.

Interesting historical note: the British worked on a plan to assassinate Hitler during world war 2 and although risky likely part of the reason it was never attempted was because at that point they thought Hitler was such a poor military tactician they were sure his replacement would do a better job commanding the German troops.

Though in retrospect it probably doesn't really matter either way, once the bomb was ready it was all but over (even if they only had 2 bombs at the time)
