I would bet you anything [or everything] that I won't see Legalized weed in my lifetime. I figure I got another 20-25 yrs left & that 'priority' in the govt's agenda is so far low on the list to get whatever it is they want done.
1st off, the main dude [Obama] is going to have to set the wheels in motion. Granted, he doesn't have the final say-so on any of that, but he's the 1 who has to put the deal in motion...& from what I just read [& I quote] "Legalization of marijuana isn't in President Obama's vocabulary."
That right there pretty much stomps the hell outta those plans. Like I've said a million times, we were closer to Legalization in the mid 1970s than we are in the 2000s. But if a person was applying for a job...took their piss-test & it came back with alcohol & nicotine, they're good-to-go. But if another person had no booze or cigs in their system...was more than qualified for the job...but had a trace of THC in their piss...good-bye employment.
I can see not coming to work stoned or drunk, but what a person does on their own free time, should be their choice...if it has no effect on their job performance.
Let's say a person was a degenerate gambler...blew his entire paycheck every Friday night at the track or a casino...leaving his family dumpster-diving for dinner...is there a piss-test for that scene? Fuck no!!

With all due respect to how ridiculously unfair the idea of drug testing is, it's pretty much common knowledge that the greater majority of them drug test now. If you are in the market for a job and have either not discontinued the use of something that as pleasurable as it may be is not more necessary than the money unfortunately required to buy it and more importantly live or purchased space pee or some other pretty much fail safe method, you pretty much dropped the ball there.

That said, I've been there when it comes to thinking you're pissing clean and it doesn't happen, lost a job that I otherwise had on lock to that earlier this year, certainly not going to make that mistake again with this one I've got coming now.
