theses filthy sob's said that i can't get dsl, i said bullshit cuz my god damn neighbor has it and they only live 100 meters up the road.

i said send the phone man down cuz my dial up only connects at like 21000 due to all the line noise..well he came down and fixed it, said there was a loose connection up the road. now i connect at like 50600!

i told him i know the neighbor has dsl i want it too and he said let me talk to the engineers and ill call you. well he called a week later and said youre gtg we changed a splitter and youre all set....i was like SWEET.

well a week goes by still no goddamn modem so i call and they said they cancelled it cuz it wont reach my house..i said BULLSHIT the fucking engineers said it will send me my shit. they tried arguing with me i sadi let me talk to the supervisor which i did and that i wanted the phone number to the engineers office.

i called the engineer directly and he said if i have to come to your house myself and hook it up i will cuz it WILL work.

thats where im at now still no dsl still no modem.

whatever happened to george bush's plan to get broadband to all of america..we're so far behind europe and japan it's pathetic.

verizon didnt get any stimulus money to expand their broadband service..bullshit they just pocket that shit. FFFUUUCCCKKK!!!!

Micropulses of information transfered to zeppelins and satellites that relay massive amounts of information at ridiculously high speeds.

Also Verizon DSL can suck my balls, it's been spotty when it works, but for the majority of the time it's been down at my house for the past 4 days.

i work in a large carrier (like verizon) and i gotta tell u this:

1) if your house is a bit "far" (over 3-4miles) from verizon's (closest) dsl switch, then u wont be able to get dsl (or any proper internet-speed in general)

2) if theres no copper network (wires) in your area and your phone line is hooked on a fiber optic network (ATM fiber "rings") then dsl wont play either, unless they have upgraded their network so they can "pass" their dsl through fiber.

3) if the engineer says he can give u dsl, then i believe he can do it, no matter what bullshit corporate tells you.

Corporate doesnt know shit most of the times about the last mile of a connection. Their systems arent usually very updated. If their system shows "no dsl availability" (but in reality THERE IS availability) then they wont process your application, because their CRM system wont let them, because it will show "no availability.

large carriers are very bureucratic organizations and unless you know someone who can make things run faster for you, it can take a few months or years before u have a proper dsl connection working at home.

i can't get it through their [CSR'S] heads...they [technicians] were actually 100 feet from my house on the pole changing the shit..i was talking to the guy as he was doing it but when i call HQ they STILL say they can't process the order. THATS why im irate about this situation. idk what else to do.

and when i last talked to the engineer he said he was in the process of updating the system..so we'll see. I'm giving them untill wednesday and ill call TIM the engineer again. i know its not his job to handle customer complaints but he seems like the only person who is willing to help me.
